‘Hatfields And McCoys’ Adds Sophia Bush And Rebecca De Mornay, Plus More Pilot Casting News
Posted in: Today's ChiliNBC’s modern-day “Hatfields & McCoys” has found two of its leading ladies. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rebecca De Mornay will play matriarch Mary Hatfield, while Sophia Bush will play Emma McCoy, the daughter of Virginia Madsen’s character, Eloise.
De Mornay’s character is described as “a sophisticated, wealthy and driven woman who’s the mayor of Pittsburgh and who runs the city through the family’s development company and political connections. Although she married into the family, at this point, she is the family and all decisions go through her. According to her estranged husband, she’s changed and is holding onto a private heartache from years ago.”
Bush’s character will be the blue-collar McCoy family’s “highest hope and eldest sibling.”
