Hide Spam Counter In Gmail

Rarely ever does my spam filter in Gmail catch something it shouldn’t. And vice versa, rarely does it ever let spam slip through the cracks. I typically don’t even have to worry about opening the folder to double check. The Spam folder really does its own thing, and does a pretty good job at it. If you’re receiving a lot of spam messages and don’t really care to see the insane amount of spam Gmail is catching for you, there’s an easy way to hide the spam counter.
Here’s what to do:
Create a new filter with the following details:
Has the words: is:spam
Check “Delete it”.
Check “Also apply filter to conversations below”
It’s a pretty simple solution. All of the spam messages you receive will automatically be moved to the trash.
