Interview With Self-Proclaimed Heroin Addict Shows How The Drug Can Overtake A Life

On Wednesday, West Virginia’s WSAZ posted a video interview to their Facebook page featuring 35-year-old Lisa Marie Stone, a woman who was recently arrested on prostitution charges. She describes in raw and frank terms her longstanding struggle with opioids.

Stone asked reporter Tim Irr if she could make a statement before being taken to jail. Still in handcuffs, she speaks candidly about her substance use disorder, the damage it is doing to her life and the hopelessness she feels.
