iPad on Sale at Walmart

Apple’s iPad has already surpassed the iPhone and DVD player, in terms of adoption rate. The device is far and away the leader in the consumer tablet space, and while the company is set to see a glut of competition from the likes of Samsung, Dell, RIM, and HP, those companies have a lot of catching up to do.

The device, which is currently available through Apple Stores, Target, and Best Buy is likely only going to gain momentum as we move closer to the holiday season–the fact that the tablet is currently available for sale through Walmart.com certainly doesn’t hurt.

The site for the mega-chain now features a section called “iPad & eReaders,” where users can by the device is six different configurations, priced $499 to $829. At present, however, the $499, $599, and $629 versions are currently listed out of stock. The $699 and $729 versions are listed as both “In Stock” and “Coming Soon.”

Only the $829 version, it seems is both “In Stock” and currently available through the site. If only there were another place online to buy the thing
