Frequent Donald Trump critic John Legend may have just outdone himself.
As the singer walked the red carpet for the Time 100 Gala in New York
City on Tuesday, he wiped the floor with the president in an
interview.
“I think he’s a terrible president. He’s manifestly unqualified, not curious, not good at legislating or doing anything that his job requires,” he said in a clip that USA Today posted. “He doesn’t have any depth about any subject.”
And that was just the beginning. Watch the smackdown here:
The “Love Me Now” singer had plenty more to say on the president.
“He’s also using the office of the presidency as a way to make money for himself with his business, so he’s corrupt,” said Legend, according to Entertainment Weekly.
A reporter asked Legend, who performed in the ceremony honoring him as one of Time’s most influential people, what was “the least bad thing” Trump had done so far.
“We haven’t gotten in a nuclear war… yet,” he replied.
