We have heard that LG has plans to launch smartphones with flexible displays. So far we have heard about the LG Z and the LG G Flex, although at this point in time it is unclear as to whether both are the same device, or two separate devices. While it remains to be seen as to whether either device will materialize in the coming days or weeks, LG has announced their plans to enter mass production of flexible OLED displays for smartphones, calling it a world’s first. We have seen companies such as Samsung demonstrate flexible displays, but this move by LG would definitely make it a first as far as mass production and commercialization is concerned. (more…)
