Home improvement retailer Lowe’s has announced that it has a very impressively priced LED light bulb now available in locations around the country. The light bulb is surprisingly inexpensive, promises 22 years of bulb life, and is equivalent to a 100 W incandescent in light output. The bulb is the Utilitech PRO 100W LED.
The lightbulb consumes 22 W of power while producing the same 1600 lm output of a traditional 100 W incandescent bulb. The color of light produced is 3000K and the bulb is dimmable. The price for the green and long-lasting bulb is under $35.
Lowe’s previously launched a 75-watt equivalent LED bulb for under $25. Neither of those offerings are the most appealing Lowe’s offers in my eyes, I am particularly interested in the 40-watt equivalent. A 40-watt equivalent bulb is perfect for multiple bulb fixtures and it costs under $10. I’ll spend $10 in a heartbeat to not have to hear my wife ask when I’ll replace the bulb on her side of the closet for the next 22 years.
