When it comes to headphones, there is a handful of companies out there who churn out winners on a regular basis, and Marshall is definitely one of them. This time around, they have come up with the Mid A.N.C., which is touted to be the first active noise cancelling headphone from the company. Hard to believe that Marshall has been around for so many years, and yet they have not come up with such an offering until now. Better late than never, I guess. Back to the Mid A.N.C.: it will arrive equipped to the bones with Bluetooth aptX technology, enabling it to deliver superior wireless audio all the while dampening the sound in your surroundings. This enables the user to enjoy what matters most, the music that is being played back.
Marshall’s Mid A.N.C. is able to offer up to 20 hours of wireless playtime when active noise cancelling is engaged on a single charge, and if active noise cancelling is turned off, you might even be able to push the playback time to more than 30 hours. It will make use of a quartet of microphones in order to continuously measure and pinpoint ambient noise so that it can block out all kinds of unwanted noises. With the presence of custom 40mm dynamic drivers, listeners can enjoy a robust sound that not only balances clarity, but also delivers the correct amount of bass for audiophiles.
Wearing a pair of headphones for long periods of time might be an uncomfortable experience for some, but not with the Mid A.N.C. as it boasts of an on-ear design. With a plush headband that is accompanied by soft microfiber, there is a brass-plated Marshall logo and black anodized metal detailing that further provides it with an iconic look. In addition, 3D metal hinges that rotate freely will allow it to adapt to your head, guaranteeing an ergonomic fit. The Mid A.N.C. will be accompanied by a guitar inspired travel case which boasts of a rich velvet red lining apart from a durable vinyl shell that can be collapsed for easy transportation when not in use. Expect to fork out $269 a pop for the Mid A.N.C. from Marshall.
