Mercedes Benz To Add Android Support When Googles Car Infotainment System Is ReadySo yesterday Apple announced CarPlay, a feature in which iOS would basically be integrated into vehicles. Some of the car companies that would be part of the program included Ferrari, Mercedes, and Volvo, which would later be followed up by other companies such as BMW, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, and more.

Now interestingly enough it seems that some of the Apple’s partners will be sticking to CarPlay, Mercedes-Benz will not be using CarPlay exclusively. Instead Mercedes-Benz will also offer up Google’s own in-car infotainment system once the feature has been made available. This is according to a recent press release by Mercedes-Benz where they revealed their Android plans as well. (more…)
