The price hike that was heard around the world may soon be upon European gamers. Retailers recently told Eurogamer that Microsoft will increase the price of the Xbox Arcade from £129.99 to £159.99. Furthermore the five Xbox Live Arcade games will no longer be included in the bundle.
The price increase is not just for the Arcade and rumored Elite system, but also applies to accessories. When Eurogamer looked for a reason behind the increase an independent retailer told them it was being done to “counteract the poor pound-to-Euro currency exchange rate.”
The new price for the Xbox Live Arcade begins September 1st.
