Motorola DROID Bionic Begins Receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update

Earlier this month, Motorola DROID Bionic owners were reporting they started to receive invitations to test the device’s upcoming Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update, and here we are a few weeks later as Motorola is announcing the device has just started to receive that very update.

Starting today, the Motorola DROID Bionic’s Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will begin rolling out to handsets for Verizon Wireless customers. As you would expect from Android devices receiving 4.1 Jelly Bean, DROID Bionic owners can expect a number of improvements to their devices that include Google Now as well as improvements to the device’s notifications. Some updates will also be made available specifically to improve the DROID Bionic as users can expect their device to have better data connectivity as well as the removal of its preloaded Sling and MOG applications.
