Netflix signs series rights deal with Warner Bros., will be only place to catch 2012-13 shows
Posted in: Today's ChiliIn the war for our eyeballs and wallets, Netflix has signed a deal with Warner Bros. that’ll keep the latter’s 2012-13 production slate exclusive to the streaming service. Shows like Revolution, Political Animals and 666 Park Avenue are the crown jewels of the deal — but users will also be able to view the full back-catalogues of shows like Chuck, Fringe and The West Wing. Given that Warner Bros. is owned by Time Warner, which also owns Netflix-rival HBO, we’re curious what the discussions will be like the next time they’re sat around the dinner table.
