Next Mortal Kombat title expected to “innovate”, could possibly be made for next-gen consoles

Mortal Kombat is a fighting game that is probably known by gamers all over the world and has evolved in terms of graphics and gameplay throughout the years, but will updated graphics and new characters be enough to keep gamers interested? While that remains to be seen, Nether Realm’s Ed Boon stated in an interview with CVG that he is looking to make the next Mortal Kombat title as innovative as possible, and hinted that the game could be released on next-gen consoles as well.
