Philips hits back with their new MHL-ready Full HD monitor, the 284E5QHAD. Adopting a MVA panel, this new 28-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 4ms (GTG) response time and 176/176 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also comes with two built-in 7W stereo speakers and has MHL-HDMI, HDMI, D-Sub and DVI connectors. The 284E5QHAD sells for around $400. [Philips]
