Police: Shots Fired At YMCA In Alexandria, Virginia

Shots were fired near a group of Republican congressman in Alexandria, Virginia, police and witnesses said.

Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) told HuffPost that multiple people were shot, including Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) Brooks said the lawmakers were at baseball practice and that he heard at least 50 shots from what appeared to be a rifle. Brooks was not hit.

Alexandria Police said that victims were being transported to nearby hospitals.
