Robert Ferrante, Pittsburgh Doctor, Pleads Not Guilty To Fatally Poisoning Wife’s Energy Drink

PITTSBURGH — A University of Pittsburgh medical researcher has pleaded not guilty to charges of criminal homicide alleging he poisoned his neurologist wife by lacing an energy drink with cyanide.

Dr. Robert Ferrante entered the plea Tuesday at his arraignment in Pittsburgh a day after he waived extradition from West Virginia, where he was arrested last week.
