Samsung hits back by announcing their latest rugged Android 7.1 tablet, the Galaxy Tab Active2. This water, dust and shock resistant tablet boasts an 8.0-inch 1280 x 800 WXGA TFT display (S Pen stylus support), a 1.8GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 7870 processor, a Mali T830 GPU, a 3GB RAM and a 16GB of internal storage.
Not just that, the tablet also sports a 5MP front-facing camera, an 8MP autofocus rear-facing camera with LED flash, a microSD card slot (up to 256GB), a fingerprint sensor, facial recognition function for convenient hands-free access, a USB 2.0 Type-C port and a 4450mAh (user-replaceable) battery.
Running on Android 7.1 Nougat OS, the Galaxy Tab Active2 provides 4G LTE (optional), dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/GLONASS and NFC for connectivity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 will be available from October 2017 in select markets. No details about the price yet. [FoneArena]
