Samsung SSD 860 PRO Unveiled

Samsung has unveiled a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs, the SSD 860 PRO. Coming in five different storage capacities: 256GB, 512GB, 1TB, 2TB and 4TB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are built with Samsung V-NAND 2bit MLC NAND flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, Samsung MJX controller, TRIM support, SMART support and an MTBF of 2 million hours.
Performance-wise, the SSD 860 PRO SSDs promise to deliver sequential read/write speeds of up to 560/510 MB/s / random read/write speeds of up to 11K/43K IOPS (QD1) / 100K/90K IOPS (QD32). The Samsung SSD 860 PRO will begin shipping from early February. [Product Page]
