Sony has unveiled a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 8.0 smartphone ‘Xperia XZ2’ at the MWC 2018. Adopting a 3D glass body w/ Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the back, this water-resistant smartphone (IP65/IP68) boasts a 5.7-inch 2160 x 1080 Full HD+ 18:9 Triluminos HDR display w/ Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile platform, an Adreno 630 GPU, a 4GB RAM and a 64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 400GB).

Featuring single/dual sim card slots, the handset sports a 5MP front-facing camera with 1/5” Exmor RS sensor, 23mm super wide-angle and f/2.2 aperture, a 19MP rear-facing camera with 1/2.3” Exmor RS sensor, f/2.0 lens, 5-axis stabilization, 960fps slow-motion video and 4K video recording, a fingerprint sensor on the back, front-facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround and a 3180mAh battery w/ Qnovo Adaptive Charging technology, Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi Wireless Charging.

Running on Android 8.0 Oreo OS, the Xperia XZ2 provides 4G VoLTE, dual-band WiFi 802.11ac MIMO, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C for connectivity. The Sony Xperia XZ2 will roll out globally starting from March 2018 for unannounced price yet. [FoneArena]
