Its going to be a surge of nostalgia for Nextel users. The Nextel network was shut down last year, its customers were quite besotted with its push to talk feature, which essentially makes the phone function as a walkie-talkie. When Sprint finally integrated Nextel’s network, it tried its very best to offer a similar feature to ease previous customers back into the fold, and today it carries on with that mission. Sprint has announced that it is extending its push to talk feature to more phones through a downloadable application.
