A lot of MMORPGs are taking the free-to-play route these days. For those unfamiliar, going F2P means that the game is free to play, but will come with microtransactions within the game that charges players for features, items, powerups, and etc., as a means for developers to make money. The good news is that if you do not like the F2P model, The Elder Scrolls Online will be taking the subscription route, but at the same time it seems that they will be adding microtransactions within the game for gamers who don’t mind shelling out a little bit more money for extras.
