However handwritten notes tend to become lost, torn, or dirtied over time and might not be very legible when its exam time. So if you’re lecturer might not look favorably on you using a tablet or a laptop to take notes in class, perhaps this digital pen by I.R.I.S might appease them. Dubbed the IRISNotes 2, this digital pen will allow users to take handwritten notes and convert them into digital copies which users can then further edit later.
One of its key features is that it does not require the use of any special paper. Instead you attach the clip on the top of a standard sheet of paper and apparently it will be able to track and record your hand movements. There are two types available, Express and Executive, with the main difference being that the Executive model sports rechargeable batteries and come with a leather case, and a 30-pin dock connector that lets you sync your notes with your iOS device. They are priced at $99 and $149 respectively and can be purchased via I.R.I.S’ website.
