There’s nothing worse than waking up in the middle of the night and having to walk to the bathroom or kitchen in the dark. While we know where each piece of furniture is, our groggy state combined with the dreams we just woke up from alter our perception of our surroundings. That’s why having a nightlight is so handy!
However, if you have one that juts out of the wall and your depth perception isn’t so grand when you lumber down the hall, you know the odds of ramming your ankle into one is decently high. If you have kids, then the chances it will be yanked from the wall are also pretty high as well. If you wish there was a way to efficiently, and unobtrusively light your walkways, then the SnapRays Guidelight can help you with that.
These are outlet covers that have LEDs which shine underneath the cover. They will only stay alight when there is no illumination present in the room. It has this capability thanks to a light sensor on the plate cover. The installation only requires you to shut off power to the outlet, unscrew the old cover and remove it, and snap the new one in place with a screw to secure it. Getting ten of these will cost you around $120, which means your whole house could be lit at night for up to 25 years or more.
Available for crowdfunding on Kickstarter
