The Tech Report Announces Winners of Hardware Photo Contest

Ever wonder what your components feel like when they’re replaced? How about how the light attached to your cooling fan looks freakishly similar to HAL from “2001: A Space Odyssey?” Maybe it is HAL… The Tech Report’s Hardware Photo Contest winners were just announced, and while some are simply enticing shots of processors and cooling fans, others entertain these fun ideas and give personality to otherwise inanimate objects. The winner of the contest, who composed a shot depicting a picnic–complete with processor “chips”–being rudely interrupted by an army of bits, was awarded an MSI GTX460 Cyclone 1GB video card.
The other 18 winners? Free digital copies of THQ’s Metro 2033. Either way this was a pretty sweet deal for looking at your hardware in another light. Check out the winning shots here.
