Hasta La Gadget!

We haven’t seen this many music-related Tweets in a long time, but this week, people were tweeting like crazy about Radiohead, the Grammys, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Rihanna, Mick Jagger, and of course, Bieber. Though heavy with music-related tweets, this week had some other interesting topics spring up. 

Here are the top trending Twitter topics for the week ending on February 18:

1. The Grammys
The 53rd annual Grammys took place last Sunday, and all of Twitter was talking about it. If we listed all of the artists trending on Twitter, we wouldn’t have anything else to report on in this roundup. The top topics on Twitter were: Esperanza Spalding, who won the Best New Artist award, #proudofjustin (from fans who were proud of Bieber, even though he didn’t win an award), and Lady Antebellum (who won five Grammys). #grammys

2. Arcade Fire
Winner of the Album of the Year award at the Grammy’s, everyone’s favorite indie rock band, Arcade Fire, was trending on Twitter thanks not only to its win, but also for the popular blog that popped up: http://whoisarcadefire.tumblr.com/ (pictured above). #Arcade Fire

3. Radiohead
Radiohead announced this week that it would be released on Saturday, Feb. 19, but, surprise!, it was released one day early, to many Radiohead fans delight. The song “Lotus Flower” is the first to have a video, which is going viral, of course.#thekingoflimbs #Radiohead #Lotus Flower
