The folks at Mythbusters have the best job in the world. Imagine waking up one morning and wondering what would happen if you fired a one-inch thick steel plate at a car using rockets, just to see what would happen. Imagine further that those rockets use two stages to reach almost 700mph before impact. Finally, imagine calling up your co-workers, heading out to the desert and actually trying it.
The result? “I wouldn’t exactly call it flat… It’s more like shrapnel.” Keep watching for the slo-mo footage at the end. Remember, that’s a real car in there.
