Android and iOS are two of the most popular smartphone platforms at the moment, with Android taking the number one spot followed by iOS. Coming in third and fourth are Windows Phone and BlackBerry, and based on numbers we’ve seen in the past, it would take both platforms a while to catch up. However according to Jana Mobile, they believe that Windows Phone will eventually overtake iOS’ market share in 2014. “With multiple handsets priced below $200, and a swell of popularity in emerging markets, 2014 could be the year that Windows phone establishes itself as the second most popular smartphone OS worldwide.” (more…)
