A Florida woman accidentally strangled herself on Christmas Eve while attempting to relieve some pain with an electric neck massager. Michelle Ferrari-Gegerson, a 37-year-old physician residing in a suburb of Fort Lauderdale, was discovered lying unconscious on her bedroom floor by her husband. She was wrapping presents.

By the time paramedics came, Ferrari-Gegerson was declared dead. According to investigators, the cord of the electric massager had gotten tangled in her necklace, strangling her.

Police will not release the name of the massager used until the investigation is complete.
