Xyze Takes & Saves Body Measurements for Online Shopping: Extra Large Convenience
Posted in: Today's ChiliClothing stores online usually have sizing guides for their products, but those guides assume that the customer knows his size. A company called Xyze is working on a way to ensure you get the right clothing size when buying online.
Xyze’s system includes the On, a measuring tape that doesn’t actually have any measurements on it. Instead, it will send your measurements to an iOS or Android app via Bluetooth. The app will also walk you through the steps of taking your measurements. Finally, Xyze is working on a widget for online clothing stores. When you’ve stored your vital stats with Xyze, the widget will use that data to give you the right size for the store’s products.
Xyze says it’s also working on a smartwatch app so you’ll always have your measurements at hand. At wrist?
Pledge about $44 (USD) on Indiegogo to receive the On measuring tape. I think this is a great idea that will benefit both stores and customers. I bet a large database of vital stats has scientific applications as well. I just hope Xyze will also open up their software and service to people who don’t need the “smart” measuring tape.
