In recent weeks, parts of Switzerland have been struck by flash floods.
Some have taken the rain in stride, even weathering the elements to go out for a surf. In the Illgraben Valley, located in southwestern Switzerland, YouTube user PiperLambert captured incredible footage of flood waters breaking through the valley.
The way the water builds up momentum and drags debris is a frightening reminder of nature’s force. Hopefully this video will serve as motivation to take flash flood warnings seriously.
