Xbox 360 Elite in white package in the wild, Pro SKU missing on back-of-box chart

Can’t say we’re all that surprised given other sightings, but one anonymous tipster has sent us pics from a local Walmart of the 120GB Xbox 360 Elite in a shiny white package with a back-of-box chart that neglects to mention the Pro models, essentially striking it from the records. It’s still scanning at $399 for now, but having seen multiple retailers’ print flyers — including Walmart’s own — quoting $299, the computers very well may be updating just after some official Microsoft announcement, which wouldn’t surprise us at all if it happen sometime this week, just ahead of the PS3 Slim launch. Peruse the pics in higher-res format below.

Update: As several readers have pointed out, the back-of-box chart shows the Elite as having standard, presumably non-HD cables only, and there’s no mention of bundled HDMI cables anywhere. Also of note is the wording for Xbox Live has changed from “Silver Membership” to “Free.” Before you go thinking the premium Gold membership is going away, however, there’s a superscript ‘4,’ and if it’s like the older box, it leads to a longer explanation on the Xbox Live’s tiered plans — not to mention there’s an ad for buying into XBL Gold just under the chart.

Video: HTC Click gets a 6-finger ‘Donut’ salute

Looks like Vietnam is the new place to be for early device leaks. A place where gadget-nerds are rapidly evolving extra digits to master their surplus of hi-tech gear — lucky bastages. As followup to its GSM-flavored Palm Pre scoop, site Tinh Te is once again showing off the HTC Click only this time, it’s a full-on video. The device sports some interesting graphics (likely customized by the owner) on the back, a microSD slot, 1100mAh battery, standard 3.5-mm headphone jack up top, camera (no flash), and of course, Android, “Donut” build 1.50.999.0 according to the device’s about page. Clearly, it lacks that swank SenseUI and the LCD is much smaller than the HTC Magic — indicators that the Click is very much HTC’s cheapo Android phone as previously rumored. Samsung InstinctQ for Sprint pictured: imagine a G1, but better

Going off mere clues, hypotheses and shreds of evidence, we’ve been trying to wrap our brains around the InstinctQ for a while now — and finally we’ve got a picture that firms everything up: it’s definitely an Android-powered landscape QWERTY slider for Sprint. We know the Hero’s in the pipeline, too, so between these two, Sprint could be poised to catch up to T-Mobile in a big, big way (as far as Android goes, anyhow) this fall. We think we’re digging the touch-sensitive Home, Menu, and Back buttons, and the expansive keyboard looks plenty usable. The screen isn’t looking quite as vibrant as its autobahn-driving European cousin, the Galaxy — but we’ll wait on passing final judgment until it’s in our hands, of course. Any chance that’s happening soon?

Nokia’s Maemo 5 tablet shows up again, ready to play

We’re calling it: this N900 / Rover / whatever it’s called is the best looking device yet in Nokia’s Internet Tablet line, which is an encouraging thing to be able to say considering we haven’t seen any ultra-polished PR shots yet. Granted, we might be influenced a little by the rumored HSPA support with voice, T-Mobile USA availability, and Maemo 5, but really, what’s wrong with that?

BlackBerry 9700’s arranged marriage to T-Mobile leaves its mark, seen in the wild

Sure, it’s more or less just a BlackBerry Onyx with a trackpad, but slap a T-Mobile logo on it, and the excitement is all rejuvenated. Such a device was spotted in the wild by the folks at Crackberry, sporting a silver chrome and a leather-clad battery cover. Not much to say here, but with that branding, we’re hoping it’s not long before heading into the consumer channels. Don’t worry AT&T friends, we’re sure your GSM-equipped 9700 is just around the corner, too.

HTC Touch Pro2 spotted again, this time with AT&T branding — to be called Tilt 2?

Alright, listen up: we’re going to play a little game we like to call, “what carrier isn’t getting the Touch Pro2?” Sound easy? Not so fast, partner — this bad boy gets around like a record, if you know what we’re saying. In fact, the beefy, all-business WinMo superphone is well on its way to becoming the first handset carried by every top-tier North American carrier in we-don’t-know-how-long (granted, we don’t have solid intel on Bell or Rogers, but we wouldn’t be surprised to see them coming). We suspected AT&T was signed up for it some time ago, and now we’ve got it snapped in the flesh, complete with an AT&T logo conveniently assigned as the function on the down key. We don’t know when this’ll be available, but seeing how all notions of exclusivity appear to be out of the window on this one, we could see an announcement any day now. Better list that Fuze on eBay now, ladies and gentlemen.

Update: It’d stand to reason that this is going to be branded Tilt 2 in light of the screen shot posted earlier; kinda strange that AT&T would return to the Tilt branding, but… you know, marketing departments work in mysterious ways that we’ll never understand.

Nokia RX-51 tablet captured in the wild

Not long at all after that mysterious Nokia RX-51 passed through the FCC comes shots from Indonesian message board Kaskus of the tablet-like device in the wild. The blurred box shot and the label behind the battery clearly say RX-51 prototype, and the design is unmistakably similar to the rumored press photo for the Maemo 5-powered Rover from back in May. We can’t help but notice the 5 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens and, more importantly, SIM card slot and an ear piece, which would be perfect for placing calls on, say, T-Mobile’s network. Inventec Rainbow marries traditional good looks with a Tegra heart of gold

Unlike Mobinnova’s slightly “edgier” take on the “smartbook,” Inventec’s new Rainbow device is decidedly more netbook-ey in the looks department. Specs are nothing new, of course, with an NVIDIA Tegra 600 chip, 256MB of RAM, 256MB of flash memory, 10-inch 1024 x 576 screen and Windows CE 6.0 (which has been outfitted with Firefox for the occasion, along with other NVIDIA-prepped apps). We’re happy to see an edge to edge keyboard here, and despite the low-end specs, it’s still nice to know this little number will be capable of nabbing 3G data (HSPA or EV-DO), GPS and DTV. Rainbow can purportedly handle 6 hours of continuous 720p playback, stream video over 3G for 4 hours, and is rated at a rather silly 240 hours of “standby.” We’re not exactly sure when the Rainbow is supposed to start shipping, but if none of this is striking your fancy, there’s always Rainbow 2, which is supposed to hit in the first half of next year.

T-Mobile’s TouchPro2 spotted in the wild, $299 contract price bandied about

Well, would you look at that? With just five days to go before T-Mobile becomes the first carrier here in the States to offer up HTC’s Windows Mobile-equipped Touch Pro2, it seems the handset has found its way underneath an undiscriminating camera. There’s also a shot or two in the gallery that portrays the tilting / sliding handset alongside Samsung’s Behold, so be sure to give ’em all a good look as you look for spare pennies in the run-up to August 12th. Oh, speaking of which, we’ve also got good reason to believe that it’ll launch for $299 on contract and $599 with no strings attached, so we hope you’re kosher with sizable premiums.

Verizon-branded Touch Pro2 plays ‘spot the difference’ with previous spy shot

It’s been some time since we last spotted HTC’s Touch Pro2 in the wild with a Verizon tattoo, and yet, there’s a tinge of unfamiliarity with these new shots. For whatever reason, on this model the HTC logo has been banished to the opposite reaches of the front display, whereas previously it was fit to share space right next to the Verizon logo / check mark. Everything else seems to be identical, however, including any indication of when and for how much we’ll be able to pick one up ourselves. Hey VZW, how’s that fire sale of the original Touch Pro coming along?

Update: As a good number of readers have pointed out, there’s now also video of the phone, with 3.5mm headphone jack to boot. See it after the break.
