Logitech Revue and Google TV get very early blurrycam impressions

Well, what do we have here? Looks like a Logitech beta user was kind enough to (potentially break his NDA and) show off his early grab: the Google TV-infused Revue. What follows is a series of blurred photos that’d make the FCC weep, but all the same, who are we to critique news? The little unassuming box has HDMI in and out ports, a couple of USB inputs, ethernet, and SPDIF. According to the handler, installation was a “12-step process includes asking the details of your Google account, your physical location, TV, cable box, amp, and more.” It works with any Harmony remote, an Android device (in this case, a Droid Incredible), or the packaged keyboard. That latter input we last heard was still in development, but it seems to be working fine right here: full QWERTY, a trackpad, all the necessary keys for GTV navigation. One more pic of the keyboard after the break, as well a video walkthrough.

[Thanks, Craig]

Logitech Unveils Three New PC Gamepads

Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710PC gamers rejoice; Logitech hasn’t forgotten about you. If you play platformers, shooters, fighting games, or just about any other type of game that’s often more fun with an actual game controller than it is with the keyboard and mouse (or you just like the flexibility,) Logitech’s new gamepads give you a range of choices from budget-friendly to feature-rich. All three controllers include Logitech’s profiler software, which allows you to emulate keyboard actions and mouse actions without taking your hands off the controller.

The new Logitech Gamepad F310 is a simple USB gamepad with a standard PlayStation-like controller layout and elevated D-pad. It features a rubberized grip and is available to pre-order for $24.99 list. The Logitech Rumble Gamepad F510 is the next step up, featuring a similar button layout and the same elevated D-pad and rubberized grip, but a wider body for more comfortable use over long gaming sessions and it supports vibration and force feedback. It’s available to pre-order for $34.99.

Finally, the Logitech Wireless Gamepad F710 builds on the previous two models and takes the entire package wireless. The F710 supports Logitech’s wireless nano receiver, and still supports force feedback. It’s available to pre-order for $49.99 retail.

Logitech Unveils Two New Speaker Bars for Space Saving Sound

Logitech Laptop Speaker Z305I remember my days in a college dorm: space was always at a premium, and you had to come up with creative ways to make the best use of the space you had available. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the new Logitech Laptop Speaker Z305, or the Logitech Wireless Speaker Z515 back then. Regardless of whether you’re headed back to school or you just want to keep your desk as tidy as possible, Logitech’s new speakers are designed to deliver powerful sound with minimal footprint.

Hanging off of the back, the Z305 laptop speaker bar clips on the top of your laptop, and connects to your laptop via USB for both power and audio. It also features a stereo input jack so you can plug in your phone or an MP3 player and use the speakers with that as well. The design is compact — about 13-inches across — and designed top give you “360-degree sound” with speakers positioned at different angles so you can hear well even from the other side of the monitor. It’s available to pre-order now for $59.99 list.

The Wireless Speaker Z515 is a rechargeable speaker system that can function completely wirelessly: no cables for power or audio. You can plug in the AC adapter if you choose, and you can use the included 3.5mm stereo jack as an input source, but once you have the software installed and the battery charged, the Z515 can go in your bag with your laptop and sit up to 50 feet away from it. It uses 2.4GHz wireless to transmit audio through the air. It’s available for pre-order now at $99.99 list.

Logitech takes its wireless Z515 and tethered Z305 speakers on the road

Sure, that laptop you’re staring out might have been purchased by your company’s IT department, but who hasn’t snuck on a film or game to fill the desperate void between PowerPoint presentations and time sheets? Problem is, those teeny tiny tinny laptop speakers aren’t exactly immersive. That’s where Logitech comes in with its new Laptop Speaker Z305 ($99.99, pictured above). A compact USB speaker that hangs off the open display to deliver 360-degree audio that will “fill the room,” according to Logitech — no additional software required. Otherwise, why not untether with Logitech’s Wireless Speaker Z515 (pictured after the break) when it arrives for $59.99. The Z515 offers a range of about 50 feet (15 meters) over a 2.4GHz USB dongle with up to 10 hours of life from its rechargeable battery. Both will be available for purchase in the US and Europe begining this month. See the pitch in the video after the break.

Logitech’s ‘Lonely TV Part 3’ Google TV ad pulled, Part 4 steps up to the plate

After Part 3 of Logitech’s Lonely TV ad campaign (pictured above) didn’t get quite the reception the company probably intended, GTVHub points out the video has disappeared from YouTube and quickly been replaced by Part 4 in the series. Both are embedded after the break so you can judge for yourself, but Part 4 (along with Parts 1 & 2) seems to do a better job of representing an Aaahh!!! Real Monsters mischievous entity than the Grape You In The Mouth! feel of Part 3. Of course, we’d just like to get out of the ad critic business and get some more Revue with Google TV hands-on time — anyone who remembers Nilay’s tale of woe from podcast 197 knows that IR blasters are an even scarier prospect than anthropomorphized HDTVs suddenly appearing in our bed.

Logitech’s ‘Lonely TV’ Revue with Google TV ad may be sending the wrong message

Logitech’s promoting its Revue with Google TV box in a new “Lonely TV” series of advertisements, but while they’re suggesting the relationship between internet, TV and you should be closer this latest spot only makes us want to search for a restraining order. In light of concerns some have about online privacy and exactly how much information Google is revealing about our habits, maybe a giant screen with an eyeball on it sending a teenaged girl into a panic (and not the Bieber fever) is the wrong mascot. Check out the full ad after the break and see if we’re wrong — remember, being weird worked out great for Palm.

Logitech Announces the Z623 Speaker System, THX Certified

Logitech Z623 Speaker SystemIf you’ve been looking for a space-saving set of speakers for your computer or to drop next to your HDTV and plug in to your receiver, the new Logitech Speaker System Z623 is designed for you. The 2.1 system is THX certified, which is remarkable enough for such a small package. You get 2 small speakers and a subwoofer for the $149.99 retail price, but don’t let the size fool you, Logitech has a long history of releasing small speaker systems that deliver impressive sound.

The Z623 features both RCA and 3.5mm stereo inputs, so you can plug it in to your desktop PC just as easily as the receiver in your home theater setup. Logitech says that the new speakers will be available in the United States and Europe starting in September, although they’re not taking pre-orders just yet.

Logitech intros Z623 2.1 speaker system for $150, gloats about THX certification

Logitech has a history of pumping out better-than-average PC speakers at below-average prices, and the outfit’s at it once more with the Z623 system. This simplistic setup is a 2.1 rig, complete with a pair of mobile satellites and a ported subwoofer. Logi’s marketing this as the perfect setup for PC users and bedroom home theaters, and it’s including RCA / 3.5mm input sockets along with an inbuilt headphone jack. All told, you’re getting 200 watts (RMS) of power, and we’re guessing that prominent THX logo factors into the $149.99 asking price. If that’s still lower than you were expecting, you can fetch these for your own flat this September in the US and Europe. Oh, and there’s a promo video just past the break… you know, if you’re into that type of thing.

Logitech Unveils H760 Wireless Headset

Logitech Wireless Headset H760If you do a lot of online gaming and need to let your teammates know where you are or what they should do, or if you frequently find yourself video conferencing with family or coworkers who live or work far away, you may be interested in the new Logitech Wireless Headset H760. The headset was designed for VoIP calling and video conferencing. It features an adjustable strap that fits across the back of your head, a behind-the-ear style, and pivoting ear-pads that are comfortable and don’t go over the top of your head.

The H760 has a built-in EQ for sound quality, and the rotating attached microphone features noise-cancellation to help minimize background noise when you’re on a call or you’re in-game reminding your healers to stay out of the boss’s aggro range. When you’ve had enough talking and just want to listen for a while, you can rotate the boom mic vertically to automatically mute it, and you can wander up to 40 feet away from the transmitter before you have trouble hearing. The Wireless Headset H760 is available for pre-order at $99.99 list, and orders will begin shipping in September.

Logitech Unveils Wireless Headset H760 for VoIP

Thumbnail image for wireless-headset-h760.pngThe headset news just keeps on rolling. Joining Sony, Bose, and Sennheiser, Logitech has announced the Wireless Headset H760 for VoIP calls.

Just because it’s designed for VoIP doesn’t mean it’s limited in use. You can also use the headset to listen to music or watch movies on the computer. While the headset probably isn’t ideal for  serious gaming, the casual gamer can use it for Facebook games or other Flash games online.

The wireless H760 has a built-in equalizer for optimizing sound for voice, music and movies. Step away confidently from the computer without losing the call, as long as you don’t go further than 40 feet.

Logitech claims the battery life is up to 6 hours, and it will take 2.5 hours or less to charge via USB.

The behind-the-ear headset has an adjustable headband and has a flexible microphone boom that can be moved out of the way when you are not on the phone. When it is moved out of the way, the noise-cancelling microphone automatically mutes itself. The sculpted, pivoting ear pads also makes it comfortable to wear..

The Logitech H760 is available for pre-order at $99.99.
