How Jeff Flake Became The Most Unpopular Senator In America

It wasn’t easy dethroning Mitch McConnell as America’s least favorite Senator, but Jeff Flake has done that in just three short months, a new poll out Monday reveals — and his fall from rising-star grace is not quite the head-scratcher you might think. In November, Flake won his Arizona Senate seat by almost 5 percentage points, but it was a lot closer than “the double-digit lead he held earlier in the year,” ABC News reported at the time. Flake, a popular six-time Congressman who won previous elections with as much as 74 percent of the vote, strode into the seat of former Minority Whip Jon Kyl as a face of turnaround for the state and the Republican party. But, oh, how the mighty can fall in a time of guns, immigration, and constant polling.

Acer Aspire V5-122 Powered By AMD’s Temash Processor

Acer Aspire V5 122 Powered By AMD’s Temash ProcessorAcer has just announced a spanking new notebook for the masses, where it comes with a rather tiny display, although it will not break the bank – which is a good thing, of course. The notebook’s name? It is known as the Acer Aspire V5-122, where it will run on the Windows 8 operating system alongside a processor from Intel’s once-mighty but now seemingly vanquished rival, AMD. The AMD Temash processor should be able to get the job done for most of your basic and daily tasks, where it features an 11.6” display at 1366 x 768 resolution, with a starting price point of a mere $450, clearly making this one of the most affordable touchscreen notebooks in the market at the moment if you do not need an “Intel Inside” sticker, of course.

Other hardware specifications in the Acer Aspire V5-122 include a Radeon HD 8280 graphics chipset, 2GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, VGA, HDMI, USB 3.0, and gigabit Ethernet. The 3-cell battery underneath the hood would bring the entire notebook’s weight to approximately 3.3 pounds, leaving us rather curious as to whether there are any backers for this puppy or not.

Mario Kart Racing Erasers Are Something Else

Mario Kart Racing Erasers Are Something ElseDo you follow the manga and/or anime Initial D? Sure, the characters in there have some pretty extraordinary driving skills, but this does not mean they are able to win in just about any vehicle, as the tools of the trade are also equally important as knowledge itself. Most professional road racers would tell you that a great set of tires is crucial in providing that much needed boost to a vehicle’s performance, and toy manufacturer Takara Tomy must have taken that insight and churned out an eraser car that has been styled after a Mario Kart, of course.

Japan is a strange country at times, and as we have witnessed recently, real life Mario Kart drivers made their way to Japan’s freeway, so it would not be too out of place to see these “Bato-Keshi!! (Racing Erasers) Mario Kart 7″ sets arriving in stores throughout the Land of the Rising Son later this month. There will be three sets up for grabs, where each will feature Mario and either his super brother Luigi, long time love interest Princess Peach, and Toad.

iPhone 5S Spotted In Leaked KDDI Documents

iPhone 5S Spotted In Leaked KDDI Documents It is widely rumored that the next generation iPhone smartphone would follow Apple’s tried and tested naming convention, where after the iPhone 5, one would find the iPhone 5S, before the iPhone 6 hits the market, of course. Well, news and whispers of delays of the iPhone 5S have been going around, with some of them touting the challenges that arose in implementing fingerprint technology for the device, but a leaked KDDI document did point to a possible pre-order of the iPhone 5S this coming June 20th, where it will be followed by a launch sometime later in July.

So far, the leaked documents from KDDI also do mention that the iPhone 5S from Apple would be equipped with a 13-megapixel camera, and a summer launch would fit in perfectly for Apple as they will then have a decent competitor to go up against the recent slew of flagship Android-powered from the likes of Samsung, Sony, HTC and LG. Are you looking forward to the new iPhone 5S?

‘The Following’ Finale: Who Lives And Who Dies In Ryan’s Final Confrontation With Joe? (VIDEO)

The first season of Fox’s “The Following” came to its inevitable, bloody, explosive and somewhat predictable end. It all came down to a final confrontation between Ryan and Joe, with Claire’s life hanging in the balance. Only Ryan was able to get under Joe’s skin by telling him this was a terrible ending for his book.

Joe’s insecurity about his writing abilities was an easy mark for Ryan to target, and it allowed him to gain enough control of the situation to save Claire’s life and set Joe on the run again. This time, the chase ended in a fiery explosion that seemingly ended Joe’s life.

TV Line seemed to be mixed about Joe’s demise, writing, “Yay?” They also posed the question, “Is Joe really dead?’ Buddy TV wasn’t so sure, either. “His own death was the perfect ending, unless of course, he’s still alive,” they said. “Perhaps, that would be an even better ending.”

Jan Brewer Signs Guns Bill Requiring Resale Of Buyback Weapons

PHOENIX — Arizona cities and counties that hold community gun buyback events will have to sell the surrendered weapons instead of destroying them under a bill Gov. Jan Brewer signed into law Monday.

The bill was championed by Republicans in the GOP-controlled Legislature who argued that municipalities were skirting a 2010 law that was tightened last year and requires police to sell seized weapons to federally licensed dealers. They argued that destroying property turned over to the government is a waste of taxpayer resources.

Make Skype Calls Straight From Your Outlook.com Inbox

Make Skype Calls Straight From Your Outlook.com InboxMicrosoft, the company that owns Skype after forking out a rather hefty sum for it (and subsequently bid adieu to their Windows Live Messenger program), has made sure that there is an even greater level of integration between their own software range, and the latest is this – Outlook.com, which was launched last summer, will now allow you to make Skype calls directly from your inbox.

Yes sir, from today onwards, Microsoft began to introduce a preview version of Skype for Outlook.com, where both communication experiences are now brought together in a single place. This Skype for Outlook.com preview will start to roll out in the United Kingdom, and will eventually make its way to the United States and Germany in the weeks ahead. In the coming months, however, you will find audio and video calls powered by Skype being opened up to every single Outlook.com inbox. This paves the way for easier and more convenient communication to connect to the people you care about most. This is the way forward – less typing, and more talking, and within its first six months after launch, Outlook.com managed to attract some 60 million new users, which lands it in the category of the “fastest-growing email service” in history.

Softbank founder goes on the attack, sees ‘no need’ to improve offer for Sprint network

Despite bidding competition from Dish, Softbank’s founder, Masayoshi Son, has told Reuters that he sees no need to adjust his company’s offer for Sprint. In fact, he’s even seen support from Intel CEO Paul Otellini, who stated in a letter to the FCC last week that a third competitive national carrier is “very compelling.”

During the company’s financial results today, Softbank’s Son went on the attack, spending a big chunk of the presentation pitching what his company would offer over its rival’s bid. He kicked off by saying that Dish’s offer (and comparisons) was “illusory” and how the Japanese carrier’s offer had a 21 percent premium over its rival’s, along with a swifter turnaround: two months compared to a year. Son also said that his company’s offer would sidestep the difficulties in combining spectrum in the US, as Softbank doesn’t currently hold any US wireless spectrum at the moment. The CEO added: “If our deal doesn’t go through with Sprint… the carrier won’t have the cash to follow through with their network vision [this year].”

Earlier in the earnings event, Son said that his company’s healthy native position was “just a stepping stone”, and that he’s now aiming for the number one spot in mobile internet globally — Sprint appears to be a big part of those plans.
