CBS Acquires Full Ownership Of TV Guide Website, Mobile Apps

May 31 (Reuters) – CBS Corp said on Friday it acquired full ownership of TV Guide’s online and mobile apps divisions, buying out the 50 percent share held by Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.

CBS now owns TV Guide Digital, which includes the TVGuide.com website and TV Guide Mobile properties, the company said in a statement. CBS and Lions Gate share ownership of TV Guide’s cable network, known as TVGN.

Mika Brzezinski: How I Moved Beyond the Label ‘Somewhat Aspirational’

Somewhat aspirational. I loved it. Didn’t know what it meant. But I found it to be hilarious and cuttingly honest, which I admire. I considered getting a T-shirt with the words typed out across my chest.

Matthew Davies, Medical Marijuana Provider, Pleads Guilty To Federal Felony Charges

Matthew R. Davies, a California man facing a litany of charges stemming from his work as a medical marijuana provider, pleaded guilty Friday to 10 federal felony offenses.

Davies was indicted on federal charges last July for manufacturing marijuana, after agents with the Drug Enforcement Administration raided his grow warehouse in 2011 and found 1,962 marijuana plants and 40 pounds of processed marijuana at the facility.

The operation came amid a larger pot crackdown by federal authorities in the Sacramento area, where marijuana dispensary owners have been repeatedly targeted despite California state law, under which medical cannabis is legal. Davies himself was heavily invested in the industry, holding a financial stake in seven lucrative marijuana storefront businesses that had been included in the investigation.

Olivia Nuzzi: MSNBC: "All In" or "All Over"?

As in polling, you can get television numbers to tell you anything you want to hear. But even in that context, when ratings changes are as profound as MSNBC’s, they tell a story that can be relied upon in terms of direction if not always in terms of exact degree.

Michael Fassbender, Louise Hazel Dating? Actor Spotted With British Olympian In London

It seems that Michael Fassbender is taking a page out of Tiger Woods’ book and dipping his toe into the Olympic dating pool. But instead of finding himself a skiing snow bunny, it appears that the 36-year-old actor might be dating heptathlete Louise Hazel.

The pair was spotted dining in London with Fassbender’s pal Bradley Cooper earlier this month before heading to The Bulgari Hotel in Kensington. The “Shame” star stayed at the hotel with the 27-year-old British Olympian until about 1 a.m. that evening, and sources are now coming forward with status updates on the supposed couple.

They are dating,” an insider revealed to Us Weekly. “Michael has been talking to her while also filming ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ in Montreal. He comes back to London to see her.”

Kim Kardashian’s Flip Flops, Dorothy Perkins Dress Is A Cute Change (PHOTO)

Kim Kardashian has received quite a bit of flack for her maternity style these days, but we think she’s doing just fine. Case in point: the fun printed look she wore while running errands yesterday.

The mom-to-be stepped out in sunny California wearing a black and white graphic dress straight from her Dorothy Perkins collection. (For all you non-Brits, Dorothy Perkins is an affordable, UK-based fast-fashion retailer.)

We can’t say we were huge fans of the line when it came out, but after seeing Kimmy in her ensemble, we think she makes quite a nice spokesmodel — the woman looked good. Plus, we have to commend the reality star for making the logical switch from sky-high heels to flip flops. Really, who wants to teeter in stilettos during her third trimester?

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active shown off with AT&T branding

Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active shown off with AT&T branding

The Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active isn’t really much of a secret at this point, despite the fact that it’s still unannounced. It’s already been seen in its share of images and videos, and the I537 — the AT&T-branded version — has even been spotted passing through the FCC. Fortunately, @evleaks dug up some imagery of this particular variant of the rugged smartphone in black (though it will supposedly be offered in teal as well), complete with the trademark AT&T globe on the back. It’s rumored to offer a 1.9GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 chipset, HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera and water-resistant protection. What’s more, we’re being told that this is just one of many Samsung devices on its way to the large GSM operator this year, accompanying the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy S3 Mini (oddly), Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Note 3. Pricing is still unknown, but we have to wonder if the date on the phone’s display above is an indication of what we can expect to see at Samsung’s June 20th event.
