Tiago Splitter Blocked By Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier As It Just Gets Worse For Him (VIDEO/GIF)

Tiago Splitter began Game 4 of the 2013 NBA Finals with a backcourt violation. Things didn’t get much better for him after that.

The San Antonio Spurs’ center was once again rejected emphatically by a member of the Heat. Actually, he was rejected by members of the Heat. With Manu Ginobili bringing the ball up the court for the Spurs early in the second quarter, Splitter got free in the paint. Ginobili hit him with a pass and the 28-year-old Brazilian attacked the rim. Defending that same rim was Dwyane Wade, who promptly rejected Splitter.

International Tokyo Toy Show 2013 – Lots of cool stuff and lots of fun!

International Tokyo Toy Show 2013

We went to the International Tokyo Toy Show at Tokyo Big Sight yesterday and had so much fun seeing all the cool characters, new releases and classic stuff. And playing with stuff!

Dominating the show were large Japanese toy makers Bandai and Takara Tomy, each of which had whole floors to themselves with huge displays, and endless stuff to look at. Other companies, including foreign companies, were there as well so there was a lot of cool stuff to see.

Please take a look at the pictures attached to this article to see some of the things that were there. :)

We’ll also follow-up with some posts about a few of the things that we say that were pretty interesting…

NJ bill will allow law enforcement to inspect cell phones after a crash

Distracted driving is responsible for many wrecks, and as a result there has been a push for auto makers to implement technologies aimed at reducing gadget-related distractions. There’s some controversy about whether those technologies help or cause more of an issue than they fix, but both those issues aside, New Jersey has a proposal on

Jonathan Kim: ReThink Review: This Is the End – Funpocalypse Now!

A few years ago, a backlash seemed to be forming against Seth Rogen. Soon after his breakout role in Knocked Up, it seemed like you couldn’t get away from him, his weird laugh, and the immature man-boy type of humor that he embodied. Couple that with underwhelming box office grosses and negative reviews for films like Pineapple Express, Observe and Report, and The Green Hornet, and it seemed like a lot of America was ready to write off the burly Jewish Canadian with the booming voice and look for their laughs elsewhere.

But then something interesting happened. Pineapple Express and Observe and Report (to a lesser degree) found their audiences and became cult favorites. While failing to spawn a franchise, The Green Hornet ended up making enough money overseas to put it safely in the black. And Rogen, along with his childhood friend and writing partner Evan Goldberg, continued writing and making movies whose small budgets allowed them to work with their friends and avoid the scrutiny and high expectations of studio executives. The result has been a string of solid films that show the development of a unique comedic style and sensibility, and Rogen and Goldberg’s new film This Is the End shows that this kind of humor can even be successfully applied to characters who are literally facing the end of the world. Watch my ReThink Review of This Is the End below (transcript following).

Amb. Marc Ginsberg: Crossing The Syrian Red Line Rubicon

Even the legendary Houdini can’t get the U.S. out of its Syrian straightjacket. For over three agonizing years the Obama Administration has twisted itself into diplomatic contortions in vain attempts to downplay Syria’s infectious civil war as a policy and humanitarian challenge to American national security. Instead, avoiding any tangible involvement in Syria became THE vital national security interest for a White House determined to avoid at all costs becoming entangled in another Middle East conflict.

For a White House that has warily considered the Syrian crisis in pure black and white terms, tonight’s tardy admission of crossed chemical weapons red lines is, well, a very inconvenient truth.

So now, the President has stumbled into the worst of all worlds. He is being dragged kicking and screaming into providing the Syrian rebels with pee shooters when the besieged Free Syrian Army desperately needs anti-aircraft weapons to avoid more consequential battlefield setbacks. To add insult to injury the White House made sure to highlight a long list of “no’s” when it comes to providing arms that could make the difference against Assad: no no-fly zone, no anti aircraft weapons, no air strikes against chemical weapons bases, no drone strikes against Hezbollah and Iranian supplies lines.

Dish and nTelos start testing fixed LTE broadband in rural Virginia (video)

Dish and nTelos start testing fixed LTE broadband in rural Virginia

Dish has so far had to be content with offering broadband over its existing satellite network, but the company has made no secret of wanting a terrestrial service. The carrier can now do more than talk about those plans: it just launched a pilot LTE service in rural Virginia with nTelos’ help. The test run supplies 2.5GHz wireless internet access to a handful of homes near Afton and Waynesboro, with speeds hovering at a respectable 20Mbps to 50Mbps. Neither provider is ready to talk about where the trial goes from here, although Dish is ambitious enough to see all of an underserved rural America as its potential customer base. We have a hunch that the company would like to pick up a little more spectrum before its dreams come true.
