‘The Voice’: Danielle Bradbery’s Performance Is ‘Amazeballs,’ According To Usher (VIDEO)

Even performing in the semi-finals of “The Voice” wasn’t enough to break 16-year-old Danielle Bradbery’s poise. The teen powerhouse even made Usher say a word no one probably ever thought he would say after her first performance of the night.

Amazeballs,” he said. “It was incredible.”

The word cracked up the panel, but what more can be said? Adam Levine decided to go with it, echoing Usher’s sentiment. “Amazeballs. You know, that is exactly what came into my mind as well,” he joked. “You can not sing a song better than you just did that.”

Sony’s PlayStation 4 Eye is a $59 add-on, PS4 packs an upgradable 500GB HDD inside (updated)

Sony's PlayStation 4 Eye is a $59 addon, PS4 packs a 500GB HDD inside

While the US press release for the PlayStation 4 mentioned details about games, used games and pricing, it did not confirm all of the specs for the console. In Japan however, a more detailed press release clears up a few things. Sony’s console is packing a 500GB hard drive (same as the Xbox One), and it will not include the camera module, which is a $59 (£44 and €49) add-on for the $399 box. By comparison, the Xbox One includes — and requires for its use — the Kinect 2.0 camera. (Update: Sony’s confirmed that the PS4’s hard drive is upgradable.)

A Best Buy listing confirms the PlayStation 4 Eye’s add-on status and pricing, and that an extra DualShock 4 controller will also go for $59. We’ve double checked with Sony and confirmed that the system comes with a controller and mono earpiece plus HDMI, USB and power cords — but no camera.

The spec sheet also confirms the system’s dimensions at 275 x 53 x 305mm (excluding the largest projection), its ports (HDMI and optical out, 2 USB 3.0 in and 1 AUX in for use with the camera) and that a single ear mono headset is packed in with the system. That controller weighs in at 210g, includes a 1000mAh battery and one other detail some may have missed — a built-in mono speaker. There are details specs for the camera too, which is capable of a maximum 1280 x 800 (x2) pixel capture at 60fps, 640 x 400 at 120fps, or 320 x 192 at 240fps. It has an 85 degree FOV and a 2 meter cable to connect to the system. Want to do more digging into the specs and learn about the design of the PS4? Check out the PDF linked below.

Kanye’s Listening Party Features ‘Yeezus’ Tracks, Lots Of Laughs & Some Very Famous Friends

Kanye West debuted “Yeezus,” his sixth studio album, to a crowd of critics, fans and celebrities on Monday night at an event equal parts listening party and public art exhibition.

The festivities took place at Manhattan’s Milk Studios, but rather than following the countless PR and fashion events that Mlik has hosted before, West instead chose the Meatpacking District building’s loading dock. Attendees were let in one by one, a slow process that would have led one to believe that only a select few were being given the privilege of the record. That was not the case: The venue was open to the street, so anyone within earshot could hear the album which had hitherto been shrouded in secrecy, and anyone within eyesight could see the basic video imagery that went along with the audio.

That’s in keeping with West’s public — and global — debut of “New Slaves,” but there’s more to the theme than a simple stunt. Though the likes of Jay-Z, Beyonce, Busta Rhymes, Theophilus London, Timbaland and Q-Tip stopped by, West seemed most pleased to see that his work had the potential to be heard by passersby. Long after Jay-Z and Beyonce had stopped their all-out, hands-in-the-air dance-along to the vibrant album, West became excited when a city bus drove by and grabbed the microphone to remark on the fact that the event was “out here in the middle of New York City blasting music and nobody is shutting us down.”

‘Mistresses’: Savi Feels Guilty Because She Cheated, Gets No Sympathy From April (VIDEO)

There’s a lot of cheating going on — appropriately for a show titled “Mistresses” — in ABC’s steamy summer soap, but only two episodes in and one of the women is ready to give it all up. Savi (Alyssa Milano) immediately regretted sleeping with her coworker. Sure, things have been tough at home between her and her husband and their frustrations conceiving, but she knew it was wrong of her to do.

She even contemplated telling her husband what she’d done, but Karen advised her to take a beat and first try and figure out why this happened. Savi was so overwhelmed with guilt, though, she couldn’t stop spilling it to her friends. Perhaps opening up to April — who was reeling over the possibility that her dead husband may have cheated, and fathered a child in that relationship — wasn’t the best idea. Especially after April had just laid out how abhorrent she found cheating in general.

“You should’ve kept that to yourself,” April said before storming out. “Really.”

Amanda Renteria To Be Nominated CFTC Chief

President Barack Obama is poised to nominate Amanda Renteria, a former Senate staffer, to replace Gary Gensler atop the main U.S. derivatives regulator amid an intensifying fight between Gensler and the world’s major banks and regulators over cross-border transactions.

If Renteria is confirmed to lead the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the former chief of staff to Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) would become the first minority and Latina to lead a member agency of the Financial Stability Oversight Council during the Obama era.

Renteria’s nomination may be announced as early as this week, according to administration officials, CFTC personnel, industry executives and congressional aides. Amy Brundage, White House spokeswoman, declined to comment on personnel matters. Gensler declined to comment. Renteria did not respond to requests for comment.

Bungie gives us our first peek at Destiny gameplay video

At Sony’s pre-E3 press conference tonight mentioned again how its relationship with Activision and Bungie will see exclusive DLC for the developer’s first post-Halo game, Destiny, come to the PlayStation 4. It also showed off a trailer featuring in-game action and a live demo. The live action on-stage featured two people playing as a warlock and hunter navigating through a level and dispatching alien foes (you’ve played Halo, or Mass Effect, right?) in exactly the RPG / shooter fashion fans are expecting. Take a peek at the trailer after the break, the game hits next gen and current gen systems alike next year.
