President Carter had the right ideas, but was brutally stomped out by an elitist body politic that felt threatened by his election to office. Mr. Obama is different. He neither has Carter’s principles nor his plain-folk thinking, although Obama does an excellent job, far better than Carter ever could, articulating them.

This year’s WWDC keynote revealed both the next generation in Apple’s mobile operating system and their change of name re-track of their desktop-based OS X. With iOS 7, Jony Ive’s look and feel are rather apparent with a top-to-bottom adjustment to the operating system along with some pointed connections to the desktop side of things.
“Man of Steel” opens on June 14, but Warner Bros. is already looking toward the next Superman adventure.
Deadline.com editor-in-chief Nikki Finke reports that a sequel to “Man of Steel” has been put into motion, with director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer set to return in those capacities for part two. Expect Superman himself, Henry Cavill, to don the red cape in “Man of Steel 2” as well.
“How Hollywood works with these kind of things is that when you are doing a screen test, you will sign a contract saying, ‘OK, yes, I’ll do the movie if you guys want me,'” Cavill told HuffPost Entertainment in a recent interview. “And, in that, it’s standard procedure to do two options beyond the movie.”

“Love is blind.”
Many times this refers to the way we see our objects of affection as perfect, despite the flaws others may notice. For Misfit, however, this happens in a very literal sense. The nine-month-old Doberman was born blind — and he wasn’t the only one in his litter born without sight. However, Misfit was the only one to survive.
Edward Snowden was skeptical of approaching the mainstream media, one of the journalists who was contacted by the former CIA agent said on Monday.
In an exclusive interview with Salon, documentary filmmaker and journalist Laura Poitras spoke out on how she, along with The Guardian’s Glenn Greenwald and The Washington Post’s Barton Gellman, broke the story about Prism, the NSA surveillance program that allows the government to collect data from some of the country’s largest Internet companies (including AOL, HuffPost’s parent company).
Greenwald and Gellman had already shared some details of their experiences. Poitras was last to speak out. From her Salon interview, it seems as though Snowden contacted Poitras first. The documentary filmmaker revealed that Snowden was skeptical of approaching the mainstream media:

Animals can do amazing things, and their behaviors and physical properties have inspired some groundbreaking tech. But what if we could do more with what animals make? Spider silk, for instance, has a tensile strength similar to that of alloyed steel — and some fascinating potential uses.
But the silkworm is by far one of the most productive animals we rely upon. The silk it produces is strong, lightweight, soft, and beautiful — and perhaps there are ways to use the creatures in new ways.
To explore the potential relationship between digital and biological fabrication, MIT Media Lab’s Mediated Matter research group has created the Silk Pavilion — a 12-foot-diameter dome that’s a collaboration between human designers, machines, and grubs.
The robotic arm, with a 3D printer head attached to it, created the primary structure. Consisting of 26 polygonal panels, it is formed of a continuous silk thread inspired by the silkworm’s ability to create an entire cocoon out of one single, multiple-property thread.
