Tim Tebow’s Camp Reportedly Aware His NFL Career ‘Probably’ Over (Or Not)

Tim Tebow’s inner circle has accepted that his NFL career may be over. Or, it hasn’t. It depends, apparently, on which anonymous source you speak with.

With Tebow yet to find a new NFL home since being cut by the Jets in April, members of his camp have privately admitted that his career in the NFL is “probably” over, according to Dave Fleming of ESPN the Magazine.

However, Mike Garafolo of USA TODAY Sports spoke to a person described as a member of Tebow’s camp who “vehemently denied” Fleming’s report. The anonymous source told Garafolo that Tebow isn’t ready to retire or look at options like the Arena Football League or Canadian Football League.

The Top 10 Best-Dressed NBA Players

Since the days of Walt “Clyde” Frasier and Earl “The Pearl” Monroe, basketball players have always heeded the call of the fashion world, ready to don a flashy suit and bedazzle the lenses of whatever camera is pointed their way. Between the post-game faux frames, the hipster beards (honorable mention: James Harden!), and the occasional monocle, today’s N.B.A. basketball stars continue that tradition, making sure to put a great distance between their fashionable duds and Michael Jordan’s ill-fitting suits.

Owner gives Palm Pre 2 a steampunk makeover

Palm Pre 2 steampunk mod

Most people would buy a Bluetooth controller if they decide to keep an old phone for gaming, but one particular user from Chinese site Zoopda was struck with a better idea. Kissing his plan to buy a Bluetooth add-on goodbye, he instead spent a weekend adding steampunk-inspired accoutrements to his Palm Pre 2. Check out a video of the tricked out phone in action after the break. It’s not in English, but it might give you an idea of what to do with your old handheld devices in case you’re looking for something to go with your goggles and Victorian-era laptop.

Camino web browser for Mac meets a quiet end

Camino browser for Mac meets its end, 11 years later

When Camino’s web browser launched in February 2002 as Chimera, it rescued many Mac users caught between a dying Internet Explorer and the distant launches of Firefox (Phoenix) and Safari. It’s unfortunate, then, that the Camino team has just laid their once-heroic browser to rest. There’s little surprise as to why, though: Camino hasn’t been keeping pace with its rivals, which makes it both obsolete and a security risk. We won’t mourn when there’s now an abundance of alternatives, but we’ll certainly pay our last respects.

Google reveals Mobile Chrome special events slated for June 7 and 13

Over on Google‘s Developer website, two YouTube videos have appeared for what is being called a Chrome Mobile Special Event. Both are going to be live events, with each set to take place a week apart in the middle of June. Unfortunately, no information about the videos are given, merely a promise that “More details [are] coming soon.”

Mobile Chrome

The first of the two events shows a start date of June 7, and is scheduled to take place from 1PM EDT to 1:30PM EDT. The second will be about a week later on June 13 from 11AM to 11:30AM EDT. That is all we know about either of them – there’s no mention of when the additional details will be appearing, although we hope it is soon.

We’re going to go out on a limb here and guess that one of the events is for Mobile Chrome for Android, and the second is for iOS, but that hasn’t been confirmed. It is worth pointing out that this comes shortly after Google I/O, which makes it seem odd that whatever information that is going to be presented wasn’t done so then.

It is anybody’s guess right now what Google is up to, besides teasing us. We’ve got one bit of in-house speculation that it’ll be an announcement of Android running in Chrome, much in the same way you can fire up and pop out Hangouts. What about you? What do you think Google is going to present in the live events? Let us known in the comment, and stay tuned for more updates!

At a time when stress levels in the workplace are higher than ever before and young people are coming of age as America’s “most stressed generation,” we need a new way to define success beyond the two standard metrics of wealth and power. To [discuss the]DEFINE A new “third metric” of success, leaders from the business world and beyond will gather for “The Third Metric: Redefining Success Beyond Money And Power,” The Huffington Post’s first-ever women’s conference, hosted by Arianna Huffington and Mika Brzezinski, on June 6, 2013.

“Right now, the two metrics of success that drive the American workplace are money and power, but by themselves, they make a two-legged stool — fine for balancing on for a short time, but after a while, you’re headed for a fall,” Arianna Huffington, president and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, wrote in a recent blog post. “And guided by this limited definition of success, more and more “successful” people are falling. So what we need is a more humane and sustainable definition of success that includes well-being, wisdom, wonder, empathy, and the ability to give back.”

ZTE Grand S Flex and Blade G images and specs surface

In December, word surfaced that ZTE would be showing off the Grand S, which was being hailed as the world’s thinnest phablet, at CES 2013. Such was the case, and we got our hands on the giant smartphone back in January. Since hitting shelves, some feedback of the smartphone has been of the critical variety, with some consumers taking issue with the small non-removable battery. Such complaints have been addressed with the Grand S Flex.

The folks over at Frandroid, a French Android-centric website, got their hands on two ZTE smartphones, one being the ZTE Grand S Flex, and the other being a handset called the ZTE Blade G, which is the next generation of the ZTE Blade smartphone. They posted some pictures of both handsets, which you can check out in the gallery below to get an idea of their size and style.

The ZTE Grand S phablet sadly did not have the kind of battery you’d expect to find in a phablet, offering a low-capacity 1780mAh battery, something depleted quickly by the hardware and screen size of the handset. Things will be improved on the ZTE Grand S Flex, however, which is said to feature a girth-expanding 2300mAh battery.

On the flipside, we also see the update to the ZTE Blade, simply dubbed the ZTE Blade G. This handset is black in the photographs, though it is possible other colors will be offered. According to Frandroid, the smartphone features a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor, as well as 512MB of RAM, and a 4.5-inch display with a lowish resolution of 854 x 480. The battery is a decent 2000mAh.

The specs for the ZTE Blade G aren’t eye-catching, but they’re certainly decent and point towards what we’re guessing will be a price tag on the lower side of things. The ZTE Grand S Flex is reportedly slated for launch in France this upcoming September, with no word on other locations. The ZTE Blade G, on the other hand, will be launched sometime this summer.
