Campbell Recalls Soup In 5 States After SpaghettiOs Mix Up

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) — Campbell Soup said Friday it is recalling 80 cases of canned pasta because they are mislabeled: the label says the cans contain chicken broth, but they actually contain SpaghettiOs with meatballs.

Campbell said the cans are labeled Swanson 100% Natural Chicken Broth. Because of the labeling error, consumers may not know the foods contain wheat, milk, and soy, which are allergens. The company said the food was made at a facility in Paris, Texas, on July 24. On Aug. 7, the cases were shipped to a distribution center that serves Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Texas.

Campbell said the recall includes about 1,740 cans of food. The code UPC 51000 02431 appears on the bottom of all the affected cans.

Fundraiser For Teresa Giudice’s Legal Fees Causes A Stir

A fundraiser planned to help raise money toward Teresa and Joe Giudice’s legal fees caused a stir this week and forced the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star to clarify some things.

RadarOnline.com reported Thursday that Teresa “resorted to begging her fans to help pay her legal bills” with an event at Maliblue Oyster Bar in Lido Beach, N.Y. The event, which went down on the evening of Aug. 29, was apparently slated as a fundraiser organized by employees of the Long Island venue.

“A group of bartenders and staff from a legendary Long Island beach resort and catering facility are collecting donations to support the legal defense of … Teresa Giudice,” a press release for the event read. “They strongly believe Teresa will be vindicated soon and will be collecting funds to aid her defense. They are seeking donations from compassionate fans of the reality TV star, who has four young children.”

10,000-Year-Old Human Settlements In Bolivia Evidence Of Ancient Amazon Peoples (PHOTOS)

Archaeologists announced a discovery that has broad implications for the history of the Amazon: evidence of human settlements in Bolivia dating back at least 10,000 years.

International researchers came to this conclusion after discovering remnants of human activity in three mounds examined out of the hundreds that scatter the the Llanos de Moxos region in present-day Bolivia, according to the paper published this week in peer-reviewed scientific journal PLoS ONE. Inside some of the mounds was evidence apparently left by human foragers, including ancient sea shells, animal bones and charcoal. Radiocarbon dating of the soil suggests the mounds are the oldest known archaeological sites in the area.

    Ancient Romans Were Nanotechnology Pioneers

Lycurgus CupThe Lycurgus Cup, a 1,600-year-old Roman chalice housed in the British Museum, had baffled scientists ever since the piece was acquired back in the 1950s. When lit from the front the chalice appears as a beautiful jade green. Oddly, when lit from the back it turns a bright blood red. The mystery was solved in 1990 when researchers were able to view broken shards of the cup. That was when they discovered that the Romans had been working with nanotechnology.
