The HTC Zara has been speculated to feature a 4.5” qHD resolution display, where it is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor, 1GB RAM, all crammed within a plastic-backed smartphone case which does seem as though some parts of it were inspired by the HTC One.

Lego Mindstorms EV3 Unveiled
Posted in: Today's ChiliLego continues to deliver when it comes to their Mindstorms kit, and the latest one is known as the Lego Mindstorms EV3 – which will include construction materials such as studs, beams, girders and wheels which will then be used to construct a robot. Just when you thought that Lego was all about bricks, don’t be surprised to find out that the only brick which you will be able to discover here would be the robot’s very own programmable brain. This new Lego Mindstorms EV3 will hit the markets later this September 1st at most major retailers, where it will retail for $350 a pop.
Truth be told, Mindstorms does have its fair share of community of hackers and hobbyists, and the Lego Mindstorms EV3 would continue to keep this particular community happy. There will be over 550 pieces of the Lego Mindstorms EV3 kit, so it might seem a wee bit more daunting at first, considering how it is meant for kids who are aged 10 and above. At least there are printed step-by-step instructions as well as color-coded pieces that ensure the robot known as TRACK3R is a whole lot easier. When you have completed assembling the TRACK3R, it is capable of accomplishing simple pre-programmed missions such as turning in a circle. According to Lego, the first robot might take approximately an hour to complete.

Keyboards and synthesizers are some of the most complex electronic musical instruments. Even the basic ones are loaded with a variety of tweaks that help you achieve a variety of sounds. But unlike a guitar where you can bend, pluck or hammer the strings to modify the sound on the fly, keyboards and synths require you to make your adjustments using separate sliders or knobs. This is where TouchKeys come in.
Andrew McPherson and his colleagues at the Queen Mary University of London’s Augmented Instruments Laboratory came up with TouchKeys. These multitouch sensors stick to standard-size keys via an adhesive backing. They’ll work on keyboards and synthesizers that can output in MIDI or OSC. The sensors can detect up to three simultaneous touch points per key and can even distinguish whether it’s being touch by the fingertip or the pad of the finger (presumably by the area covered by the touch). This not only gives you a more convenient way to tweak your sound, it lets you adjust your instrument to your needs instead of the other way around.
Pledge at least £195 (~$305 USD) on Kickstarter to get a set of TouchKeys as a reward. You can also pledge to get a full TouchKey instrument if you have the cash.
Apple’s rumored to be dropping its next iPhone September 10
Verizon Wireless has just made available the Motorola Droid Ultra as well as Motorola Droid Maxx online, where the former will cost you $199.99 with a new 2-year contract or $599.99 if you prefer to pick it up unlocked.
