World Of Warcraft Recruit A Friend System Receives An Update

World Of Warcraft Recruit A Friend System Receives An UpdateWhile World of Warcraft still has pretty high numbers in terms of active subscribers, the game has seen a pretty big dip from its peak, but we guess there are those who have invested heavily into the game and who aren’t as willing to give up on it just yet. Well if you’re such a gamer or if you’re looking to get into the game, Blizzard has recently updated its Recruit A Friend system for World of Warcraft and will include a new mount and pet for the person doing the recruiting, as well as giving the UI of the system an overhaul. The new pets that players can choose from include a Golden or Silver Pig, and a Jade or Zipao Tiger. The new mount will be an Emerald Hippogryph, all of which appear to be themed for the current Mists of Pandaria expansion.

For those unfamiliar with the Recruit A Friend system, it’s basically where World of Warcraft gamers get to send invites to their friends to join the game. From there their friends will receive XP boosts to help them level faster and the ability to Summon one person to the other. The person doing the recruiting will get rewards as well, such as a free exclusive mount, pets, as well as a free month of game time. If you’re looking for more details about the Recruit A Friend system, hit up Blizzard’s battle.net website for all the details.

PS3/Xbox 360 Version Of Call Of Duty: Ghost Will Reduce Multiplayer Numbers

PS3/Xbox 360 Version Of Call Of Duty: Ghost Will Reduce Multiplayer NumbersWhile having many players in a multiplayer game can be fun, especially if you like the ensuing chaos, it can dampen the overall experience as it can be messy as well as laggy at times. The good news is that if you’re a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 gamer looking forward to getting their hands on Call of Duty: Ghosts, you’re in luck because it seems that the console version of the game could have the maximum number of players in a multiplayer game reduced. This is according to a leaked image obtained by GearNuke where it shows that the number of players in a multiplayer game will be set at a maximum of 12, versus 18 which has usually been the case.

This is only for the PS3 and the Xbox 360, but PC gamers and PS4/Xbox One gamers can rest assured in knowing that their max players will remain unaffected at 18. The leaked image also shows that the game for the PS3 and Xbox 360 will require a mandatory 3GB installation, so for those who bought the 4GB version of the Xbox 360, well you guys might run into trouble during installation. We’re not sure why Activision decided to remove some features for older consoles, but we’re guessing hardware might be the reason why, but hopefully apart from the reduction of multiplayer gamers within a game, nothing else has changed, but we guess we will just have to wait and see.

Zcapture is open source product photography at its easiest

    Zcapture
When you’re looking to purchase something online, there are a lot of different aspects to factor in. The validity of the website, how much information is provided, and possibly most importantly of all, what it looks like. Maybe you need a size or color comparison, but a bad photo doesn’t tell you everything you need to know.

If you’re looking to auction off some of your stuff on eBay or are wanting to start selling products online in general, you’re going to need to make sure you’re taking good photos. The best option would be to get 360 degree views of it, but taking all of those photos, editing them, and putting them together can be a pain. Well, until the Zcapture came along that is.

This is an open source 360 product photography device that will let you go from snapping photos to posting them online within about 15 minutes. Of course, that’s what they say on their page, which means that’s the normal time for someone who is a bit more proficient at the process. There is a mini version which will cost you around $150, or you can get the full version for around $480. Both of these come with the software license for life with all updates. While it’s a pretty hefty purchase, it can be quite useful to those who do product photos regularly. It’s compatible with just about every camera, and for those of you that know how to do it, can tweak this device as you see fit.

    Alcatel OneTouch Pop Tablets Leaked

Alcatel OneTouch Pop Tablets LeakedWhile Alcatel might not necessarily be a name one thinks of when it comes to smartphones and tablets (admittedly they did pretty well for themselves during the days of feature phones), it does not mean that the company should stop trying and thanks to a recently leaked press render, thanks to @evleaks, it seems that we might be able to look forward to new Alcatel OneTouch Pop tablets in the near future. These tablets appear to be part of the company’s OneTouch Pop family where previously they had released smartphones under that lineup. Those phones were of the budget variety and were destined for emerging markets in Asia, so it is possible that the same could be said for these upcoming tablets as well.

The press render shows a variety of colors that the tablets will be available in, although the backplates are removable so for those of you looking to switch things up, you will be able to swap colors when you feel like it. No word on pricing, specs, or availability, but like we said, if these tablets are of the same family as the budget OneTouch Pop smartphones, we expect that it will be affordable, but don’t expect killer specs just yet. Either way we’ll keep our eyes and ears peeled for more information regarding these tablets, so be sure to check back with us in the future for more updates!

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 For Sprint Leaked

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 For Sprint LeakedIf you’re in the market for a device with a big screen but don’t want to drop the cash for the high-end Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 should do the trick and thanks to a recently leaked press render, courtesy of the ever reliable @evleaks, of the handset, it looks like the phone will be headed for Sprint, although at this point in time there is no word on when the phone will launch (we’re hearing that an early November release is possible) or how much it will cost on contract, but given that the phone is priced $530 (street price), we expect it shouldn’t cost too much on Sprint.

For those who might need a little refresher on the device, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 will sport a massive 6.3” 720p HD display. While its display appears to be decent, it will be powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Granted this is not a processor to be sneezed at, it is a pity considering that most devices these days come packed with a quad-core processor. In any case it will include 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB or 16GB storage options that can be expanded via microSD, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and will come with a decently sized 3,200mAh battery. The phone will also run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean but should be receiving the bump to Android 4.3 in the near future.

Late 2013 MacBook Pros Experiencing Keyboard And Trackpad Freezes

Late 2013 MacBook Pros Experiencing Keyboard And Trackpad FreezesPlanning on getting your hands on the late-2013 MacBook Pros? Perhaps you might want to hold off on your purchase just yet, at least until Apple has issued an update that will address some of the recent bugs that have been reported lately. According to several user reports, the late-2013 MacBook Pros are facing bugs on their brand new laptops whereby both the 13” and 15” models are giving them problems, suggesting that this is most likely software related as opposed to hardware. The reports claim that both models are experiencing instances where the keyboard and trackpad of their laptops are freezing up, rendering them unusable and where a hard reset through the power button on the laptops is required to get the trackpad and keyboard working again.

There have also been reports where users are running into problems trying to install Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 via Boot Camp on their computers. The problem is apparently with the partition Boot Camp creates, and this affects a variety of installation methods, such as through USB drive and DVD installation through the use of an external drive like SUperDrive. Apple has yet to officially acknowledge these issues and has yet to release a statement on the matter, so for now Apple users experiencing these issues will have to attempt to sort it out themselves and wait for Apple to release an update that will deal with the problem.
