Wisconsin Judge Faults Labor Officials For Enforcing Scott Walker’s Unconstitutional Restrictions
Posted in: Today's ChiliMADISON, Wis. — MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Madison judge on Monday found Wisconsin labor relations officials in contempt for enforcing parts of Gov. Scott Walker’s contentious bargaining restrictions despite a ruling that they’re unconstitutional, clearing the way for hundreds of school district and municipal worker unions to negotiate with their employers again.
Dane County Circuit Judge Juan Colas ruled last year the provisions were unconstitutional as they applied to two unions representing Madison teachers and Milwaukee public workers, creating confusion about whether the ruling applied to all school and municipal workers across the state.
Huawei, the China-based company that rolls out networking products as well as smartphones among others, has stepped forward with a denial that they happen to manufacture spy phones for the current government in China. Recently, Huawei did write in a cybersecurity paper where they mentioned that they have never been ordered by the Chinese government in order to make use of its smartphones or telecom equipment so that the government is able to spy on customers.
This particular statement was released at a time when it has been seen to be a security risk by the American government for its supposed ties to the Chinese government. This is not the first country to have such concerns, as slightly more than a year ago, we did bring you word that Canada themselves are mulling over the possibility of banning Huawei device because of security worries and potential issues. Other major tech companies that are also involved in allegations of colluding with its government to spy on customers, including Microsoft, Google, Facebook and other tech giants, did also issue somewhat similar statements themselves, reassuring the masses that they are not being spied upon by the National Security Agency. Who can we believe these days?

Democratic Fundraising Committee Has Wildly Successful Fundraising Month, Trouncing GOP Counterpart
Posted in: Today's ChiliSeptember fundraising filings by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and the National Republican Congressional Committee marked several milestones for the DCCC, and bleak news for its conservative counterpart.
In the weeks leading to the Oct. 1 government shutdown, the DCCC had its best September in history, excluding election years. The committee brought in $8.4 million — $3.1 million more than the NRCC, and more than either the Republican National Committee or the Democratic National Committee.
The DCCC’s haul also surpassed monthly fundraising totals of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee and the National Republican Senatorial Committee combined.

Don’t you think that the world of hardware is a wonderful one? Each new iteration would be superior performance than its predecessor, and sometimes, it might even result in a lower price due to the efficiency in the manufacturing process. Well, on the downside, backwards compatibility is one particular issue to look out for, and when we are talking about the PS4 controller, here is something that was recently discovered and shared by YouTuber Udetto. Apparently, the PS4 controller does seem to be compatible somewhat with select PS3 games as long as it remains connected to the console via USB cable, as seen in the video above.
Udetto booted up Urban Trial Freestyle, where he was then able to navigate through the training level without any issues whatsoever. Unfortunately, you will not be able to score any Jack Wilshere-like PlayStation goals as the PS4 controller will not play nice with FIFA 14. Not only that, using the controller wirelessly also seems to disrupt compatibility. Udetoo shared, “Games which require the controller to be wireless or in wireless mode or whatever won’t work.”
It must be noted that Sony did announce in the past that the PS4 will not support PS3 controllers, but they did not say anything about it being the other way around.

The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset has been described to be unreal, transformative and amazing by different people at different times. Of course, we have also taken the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset for a ride at CES earlier this year, but apart from the highly immersive way that VR headsets of yore could not deliver, the relatively low resolution display continues to be a bane, as it happens to lessen the virtual reality experience by a mile. Right now, existing developer kits rely on a 720p resolution display, with an Oculus Rift with an 1080p HD display being in development to boot. Needless to say, the higher resolution Oculus Rift would be better, but there are still distracting pixels around.
Polygon claims that Brandon Iribe, CEO of Oculus VR, has shared of a spanking new version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset that will arrive with a 4K display, or at least this particular idea has already made its way to the drawing board and should be fleshed out in due time. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the retail version that ships will eventually be this 4K model or not, but one can always hold out in hope and anticipation, can one not?

I know that for some of us, we prefer short games that do not take up too much of our time. After all, time is precious, and there is a very limited amount of it each day that we can spend on gaming when you take the bigger issues of life into consideration – for most of us, that is. Well, gamers who love long and epic games will definitely be able to appreciate the likes of Killzone: Shadow Fall Campaign, where it is said to take more than 10 hours in order to complete the PS4 launch title’s single-player mode.
This bit of information has been confirmed by game director Steven ter Heide has confirmed, where in a new Q&A, Heide wrote, “Killzone Shadow Fall’s campaign should last well over 10 hours for most gamers.” Of course, we would assume that this is just the average figure that he is referring to, so there will always be that prodigy of a gamer who would be able to go through the entire single player campaign in under 10 hours. Regardless, even that would be considered as a respectable amount of time for a FPS campaign. Do you like your games to be lengthy? I would suggest RPGs then, as that genre tends to offer the best bang for your buck in terms of gameplay length-per-dollar ratio. [Press Release]
