Nikon’s Rumored Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera Might Not Have Video Recording

Nikons Rumored Full Frame Mirrorless Camera Might Not Have Video RecordingThe other day we reported on a rumor that Nikon could be looking to introduce their own full-frame mirrorless hybrid camera, and now thanks to additional information obtained by the folks at Nikon Rumors, we now know a little bit more about the upcoming camera. According to the latest information, they claim that the upcoming Nikon camera will not have video recording capabilities which is kind of odd, given that most, if not all cameras these days offer video recording. Even low-end smartphones are starting to incorporate Full HD video capture, so it is a bit of a surprise that this upcoming Nikon camera doesn’t. However since this isn’t an official announcement, take it with a grain of salt for now.

The camera has also been speculated for a possible 6th of November announcement. This has been speculated due to German store, Dinkel Foto, having a special “world premiere” on the 6th of November, and since it does not appear that other camera manufacturers have big announcements of their own up their sleeves, it has been presumed that this could be the date that Nikon announces said camera. For those who haven’t been following the news, this alleged Nikon camera will be a full-frame mirrorless hybrid device with a 16.2MP sensor and sport a retro design, similar to that of the Nikon FM2. Take all this with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully official information will be provided in the near future.

Nokia Lumia 1320 Press Rendering Leaked

Nokia Lumia 1320 Press Rendering LeakedIn a few hours’ time, Nokia will be holding a press event in Abu Dhabi where it is expected that the Nokia Lumia 1520 will be announced. For those unfamiliar, the Lumia 1520 is a phablet device by Nokia but it looks like Nokia might have more than one phablet to share, with the other being the Nokia Lumia 1320. The press rendering of the handset was recently leaked by @evleaks. The Lumia 1320 was first tipped off earlier this month where it was given the codename “Batman”, but we guess we now know what the handset will look like.

The Lumia 1320 is expected to be the top low-end Windows Phone device and based on the rendering, it looks like the phone is essentially a blown up version of the Lumia 625. While the exact size remains unknown, some are speculating it could be in the 5-6” category. The specs of the Lumia 1320 also remain a mystery for now, but it is rumored to feature a 5MP rear-facing camera and a VGA front-facing camera and is also expected to ship with some of Nokia’s camera apps. We expect that Nokia will reveal the full specifications of the Lumia 1320 during their event so if you like the idea of an affordable Windows Phone phablet device, be sure to check back with us later for all the details.

Microsoft Starts Bringing More Web Apps To Windows Phone

Microsoft Starts Bringing More Web Apps To Windows PhoneIf there’s one thing that the Windows Phone platform lacks it would be apps. While there are developers who are creating decent third-party alternatives to some popular apps, such as Instagram, there are some apps that lack even third-party alternatives. However it looks like Microsoft is attempting to do something about it and apart from courting developers with attractive bonuses and support, Microsoft has since started to offer official apps under the developer “Microsoft WebApps”. Basically these apps aren’t native Windows Phone apps, but rather mobile webpages that have been redesigned and repackaged as a web app.

While this will more or less address the problem of lack of apps, presumably these web apps will not have the same features and functionality that one might expect from a native Windows Phone app. However if you’re after official apps for your banks or favorite websites, such as Booking.com or TMZ, then we guess you’re in luck. We expect that users would most likely prefer a native app for their Windows Phone device but for now this will have to do, although this is hardly a permanent or a long-term solution, but what do you guys think? Is this a decent effort by Microsoft nonetheless?

Dick Cheney Calls Tea Party The ‘New Wave,’ Just Like Daughter Liz

Dick Cheney was relentlessly on message Monday in his “Today Show” interview with NBC’s Savannah Guthrie, almost as if he intended his comments to aid his daughter’s nascent bid for a U.S. Senate seat in Wyoming.

The former vice president — whose book Heart on his own history of heart disease comes out Tuesday — refused to criticize Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) or any other aspect of the tea party movement in American politics. And he disagreed with Guthrie that there is any kind of “rift” within the Republican Party.

Instead, Cheney called the tea party a “new wave” in politics. When pressed on the wisdom of Cruz’s gambit to shut down the government over opposition to Obamacare, Cheney turned and criticized President Barack Obama as a “radical.”
