Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition Announced

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Special Edition AnnouncedFor those of you who love Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, you might be interested to learn that Konami will be releasing a special edition copy of the game on the 5th of December which will basically include all of the downloadable content in one package, so for those who have not managed to get their hands on the game, you will be able to do so and save yourself time from having to download all the additional content. The special edition package will basically include Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance the game itself, 30 VR Missions, Jetstream content, Bladewolf content, a wood katana weapon, five costumes for Raiden which includes the Metal Gear Solid 4 Raiden and Grey Fox costume, and a Metal Gear Rising theme, all of which can be had for a cool $25.

As it stands it appears that this special edition copy of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be an exclusive to Japan as there has not been any announcement for a release outside of Japan, not to mention that the game was also a PlayStation 3 exclusive in Japan, so Xbox 360 gamers will most likely be disappointed if you were looking forward to the addition content and goodies.

Rumor: iPad 5 Could Get an Apple-Built Surface-Style Keyboard Cover

New iPads! That’s the suspected plan for tomorrow’s Apple event. With much of the consumer attention now turning to the more discreet form factor of the iPad Mini, Apple’s iPad 5 needs to justify its full-size existence. And that justification may now come in the form of an Apple-built, pro-orientated keyboard cover.

The World’s Best Backscratcher – Does it live up to the hype?

    backscratcher
There are times when you’re sitting at your desk, minding your own business, and it suddenly feels as though a bug has bit your back, and nothing is right with the world until you’ve scratched that spot. Of course, not everyone has the ability to contort their arm behind them, so they use the nearest wall or the back of their chair to scratch that itch. That isn’t always enough to get the job done though.

Getting a back scratching stick isn’t a bad idea, but they’re terribly rigid, and can sometimes end up hurting you rather than helping. Seeing that this invention has been around for some time, you would think that someone would make a better version of this tool. Well, they did, and it’s called the Scratcher (very original, right?).

This is said to be the World’s Best Back Scratcher. Of course, the website that sells it is saying that, though it does look to be pretty decent. The stick is flexible, and the spurs on it are not terribly rigid, so you won’t have to worry about them catching on your clothes or poking you. This is also portrayed to be good for use on your calves (for circulation) or feet, but I doubt anyone is going to want to put this on their feet and then on their back. One of these will cost you around $28, and only comes in a white, green, and black combination.

Color-Shifting Fey Dragon Mount For World Of Warcraft Spotted, Possible BlizzCon Goody Bag

Despite Blizzard’s World of Warcraft MMORPG being pretty old, Blizzard has never failed to stop maintaining the game and have continuously released expansions and additional content, and the latest piece of content found in Patch 5.3 is a mount. Granted mounts are hardly a big deal, this one could be as it has been discovered that this mount, referred to as the Enchanted Fey Dragon, is the first ever mount for World of Warcraft that can periodically change its color, undoubtedly making it pretty attractive not just in terms of looks, but in terms of value as well. As it stands there is no word on how players can get their hands on this mount, but there are several possibilities out there.

For starters it is possible that the Enchanted Fey Dragon mount could be given to players who attend BlizzCon 2013 which will be taking place next month, and that the mount could be part of the Goody Bags. The next possibility is that the mount could be sold through Blizzard’s online store where other World of Warcraft mounts, such as the Celestial Steed, can be purchased with real money. There is also the possibility that this mount could be a rare drop or a reward from either downing a raid boss or completing an achievement, but hopefully we will find out in the near future. In the meantime if you’d like to see the mount in action, check it out in the video above. Pretty cool, huh?

Samsung Galaxy S5 Could Feature Plastic Body And Faux Leather Back [Rumor]

Samsung Galaxy S5 Could Feature Plastic Body And Faux Leather Back [Rumor]Samsung has in the past gotten a bit of flack from the public regarding its choice of material for its smartphones, which have namely been plastic as opposed to using more “premium” materials such as metal or glass which are used by their competitors (HTC One and Sony Xperia Z come to mind). We had heard a rumor suggesting that the upcoming Galaxy S5 could feature a metal body although a new rumor has surfaced, suggesting that Samsung could be sticking to a plastic construction for the Galaxy S5, but will feature a faux leather back similar to that of the Galaxy Note 3. While the source is not the most accurate or reputable, given Samsung’s choice of materials in the past, we wouldn’t be surprised if the Galaxy S5 did indeed stick to the use of plastic as with its predecessors.

Despite the use of plastic, Samsung has enjoyed immense success with their Galaxy S-lineup and we doubt that will change regardless of whatever material Samsung goes with, although admittedly it would be a nice change of pace. Other rumored features of the upcoming Galaxy S5 include an eye sensor, a possible 64-bit Exynos chip, as well as a possible announcement in January 2014, presumably during CES. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but what do you guys think? Does the idea of another plastic Galaxy S device put you off, or do you not care?

Nintendo Confirms More Cross-Platform Titles Are In The Works

Nintendo Confirms More Cross Platform Titles Are In The WorksNintendo has in the past been pretty adamant about not creating games for other platforms, namely mobile platforms such as iOS and Android. Basically what this creates is a sense of exclusivity which we guess would benefit the hardware sales of Nintendo products, although given the recent figures of Wii U sales it does not appear to be working out for them. Well the good news is that Nintendo has since stated that they plan to start creating more cross-platform games that will provide functionality with other consoles from different manufacturers, although not exactly in the way you might have thought.

According to a Nintendo representative, “We can confirm that cross-platform functionality is possible in certain titles that play on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, as well as other video game systems not made by Nintendo […] We are committed to helping developers realise the full potential of their software on Nintendo systems.” While this is hardly considered developing titles for other platforms, we guess it’s a start, with an example being an upcoming title by Ripstone called Pure Chess where Wii U gamers can pit their skills against someone playing a different console, such as on iOS or Android, or the Nintendo 3DS. Presumably mobile gamers would love to see titles such as Mario or Zelda eventually arrive on their devices, but for now we guess this will have to do.
