A new survey of 25 GOP-held districts shows dwindling favorability for Republican members of the House in the wake of the recent government shutdown.
The survey, conducted by liberal-leaning Public Policy Polling and funded by MoveOn.org, is the third in a series of polls that indicate Democrats have a shot at taking back the House of Representatives in the 2014 election cycle.
The results of the latest survey show that incumbent Republicans in 15 of the 25 districts polled trail generic Democratic candidates. When combined with the results of the previous surveys, the polls show that generic Democratic candidates lead in 37 of 61 GOP-held districts.

PODGORICA, Montenegro — PODGORICA, Montenegro (AP) — Police in Montenegro fired tear gas to repel anti-gay extremists who threw rocks and firebombs at officers protecting a gay pride march Sunday, officials said. About 60 people were injured.
The violence occurred when the attackers tried to push through hundreds of police to reach those taking part in the march in Podgorica, the capital of the staunchly conservative Balkan country. After the march, the gay rights demonstrators were evacuated to a safe location in police vehicles.
Don’t you just love hacks? And by that, I mean it to be of the good kind, not the hacks that make life miserable for everyone in the case of identity theft. Well, here we are with word that some folks over at the XDA-Dev forum have had a fun time messing around with the Windows Phone operating system on the Samsung ATIV S, where they managed to introduce the 3 column live tile home screen that happens to chug along pretty nicely on a display that has 720p resolution.
In order to enable a 3 column live tile home screen on your Samsung ATIV S, all you need to do is to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\Software \ Microsoft \ Shell \ OEM \ Start and change ScreenSize to 1, ensuring that the home screen on your Samsung ATIV S would end up looking like the Nokia Lumia 1520 which is on the verge of a release. For additional detail that would be able to shed more light as well as insight into this particular hack, it would bode you well to head on over to the XDA Developers forum.

We all know by now how Grand Theft Auto 5, or GTA 5 for short, has broken its fair share of records ever since it was released, pulling in a whole lot more dough than what some summer blockbusters could to boot. In fact, 7 Guinness world records fell to the GTA 5 onslaught, and hence, it was not surprising to hear that Media Create data depicts this title to be the highest debut for a GTA game in Japan, boasting of a sell-through rate of 85.71% on the PS3 as well as 92.57% on the Xbox 360.
Of course, what are existing statistics if they do not happen to have the “crutch” of previous releases to fall back upon? Let us take a walk down memory lane, with GTA 4 debuting in 2008 as it sold 132,676 copies in its first week on PS3 (78.77% sell-through) and 33,648 copies on the Xbox 360 (62.80% sell-through). Before GTA 5 ambled along, the best-selling debut for GTA was GTA: Vice City in 2004, where it sold 246,000 copies on the PS2.
One thing’s for sure – GTA 5 is going to be a record holder for quite some time to come, and it would be interesting to see whether future game outings under the Grand Theft Auto banner would be able to generate even better statistics.

Have you ever entertained the idea of owning an all electric vehicle? Assuming you have answered in the affirmative, then you might want to check out the Tesla Model S in the US, which is said to come with built-in connectivity to the AT&T network. How about that for being an advanced ride, huh? First revealed at the GigaOM Mobilize 2013 in San Francisco recently, the network that powers the connected features in the Tesla Model S happens to hail from AT&T.
In a nutshell, the AT&T connection is present in all Tesla models that will feature an infotainment screen, and according to the good people over at Forbes, it can be assumed that the future Model X too, will be able to communicate via AT&T’s network. Just like before, some of the functions in the car are able to be remotely accessed, with Tesla being able to track driver statistics as well as just where the car is, assuming your ride happens to get stolen. We do wonder how far will this partnership go in the long run, and what the mileage would be like. After all, there must be a very good reason why Tesla teamed up with AT&T instead of the other mobile carriers.
