This Next Generation Conveyor Belt Sushi Restaurant Is the Future

Conveyor belt sushi restaurants are usually only worth going to once in your life. The sushi is hardly ever amazing since it spins on the belt over and over again while the dishes you actually want might be snatched ahead of you so you never get to eat it. Not to mention plates stacking on your table, plastic covers getting in your way and the lack of personalized orders. It’s a gimmick! It’s okay though, Japan has figured out those problems with this next generation conveyor belt sushi restaurant.

Nokia Facet Is Their Alleged Smartwatch

Earlier this morning, we brought you the possibility of Nokia introducing a smartwatch to the masses in the future, thanks to a patent application which was published by the Patent and Trademark Office, where it described a modular timepiece so that the end user is able to customize it in a variety of ways. Well, before the day is over, how about some bit of interesting news concerning the alleged Nokia smartwatch? This particular update hails from a certain Kent Lyons, who is also one of the minds behind this device. He mentioned that this particular concept has been given the codename “Facet” for obvious reasons, where there is also a video of the prototype in action as you can see above.

It reminds me of one episode in the G-Force cartoon back when I was a kid, and the team of heroes had to battle a particular behemoth from the sea that had four different facets to its head, with the head being able to rotate 360 degrees, each “face” featuring a different energy beam that is shot out from its eyes. What do you think of Nokia’s attempt in making a smartwatch? Will they be able to duke it out with the seemingly almighty Android?

Blizzard Wins Legal Battle Against World Of Warcraft Bot Maker

Blizzard Wins Legal Battle Against World Of Warcraft Bot MakerWhen it comes to gaming, there are some games where farming, or grinding, is absolutely essential to either get to the next level, or to get items. Unfortunately this is both physically and mentally exhausting which is why some gamers have turned to using bots to do it for them while they sleep. Unfortunately this is illegal as far as most games are concerned, and Blizzard has in the past gone after bot makers and gamers for using bots in their games. While there are still plenty of bots out there and with new ones being made, at the very least Blizzard has managed to successfully shut down another bot company.

The developer has recently won a legal case against one of the World of Warcraft bot makers, Ceiling Fan Software, who are now facing a judgement of $7 million and will also see the immediate deactivation of all licenses as well as being forbidden to open-source their software. Essentially Blizzard is shutting their bot down for good. Like we said Ceiling Fan Software is one of many bot developers out there and while Blizzard might not be able to go after every single one of them, perhaps future bot makers will decide that the legal consequences of getting caught is simply not worth it and stop development.

Former EA CEO Thinks Angry Birds Could Use More Innovation

Former EA CEO Thinks Angry Birds Could Use More InnovationAngry Birds has probably got to be one of the biggest names in mobile gaming at the moment. The developers, Rovio, have since released many variations of the game to tie-in with movies as well as other franchises, such as Star Wars, but overall each variation is essentially the same game with a different look and sometimes slightly different mechanics as well. To that end, former EA CEO, John Riccitiello, revealed during his speech at the Gaming Insiders Summit how he felt about game brands, and cited Angry Birds as an example.

According to Riccitiello, he felt that Rovio needed to innovate the Angry Birds game instead of releasing variations as well as stuffed toys. “Adding a Star Wars brand is not an innovation. It plays pretty much as it did. Maybe tomorrow they will do something so fundamentally innovative that they will prove me wrong, but they haven’t really mastered the microtransaction model. I wish they had put as much innovation and energy into the code as went into all the other stuff. Maybe they wanted to be Disney before they had done enough.” As it stands Rovio has recently announced Angry Birds Go!, a kart-racing game which is a departure from their previous games, but could that be looked at as innovation?

Diablo 3 Reaper Of Souls Expansion Confirmed For PS4

Diablo 3 Reaper Of Souls Expansion Confirmed For PS4Now here is an interesting bit of news for those of you who love Diablo 3 and all things associated with this particular dungeon crawler – especially for those who have played it on the console instead of on a desktop or notebook computer. The folks over at Blizzard has announced a piece of news that will certainly make this weekend sweeter concerning the upcoming Diablo 3 expansion, which is known as Reaper of Souls. It is said that Reaper of Souls has been planned and confirmed for the next generation Sony PS4, with a playable version of the game even being made available for the masses to give it a go over at BlizzCon, which will be happening this coming November 8 to 9, accompanied by DualShock 4 touchpad features to boot.

Needless to say, now that we know all of that, there is one more major question to ask – for the meantime, that is. Does this particular announcement of a PS4 Reaper of Souls expansion imply a non-delayed multi-platform launch date? Only time will be able to tell, but it definitely is a pleasant surprise since Reaper of Souls was originally announced as an PC expansion without any mention of it ending up as a console version.
