‘Arrow’: Oliver Finds Himself In Quite A Jam After Trying To Convince Laurel To Trust Him (VIDEO)

Oliver Queen was determined to convince Laurel that his vigilante side could be trusted on “Arrow.” So much so that he ignored her very clear and direct warning to never talk to her again. After taking down the week’s bad guys, Oliver dropped by her office again to try and plead his case.

Laurel was still bitter over Tommy’s death in the Glades, where she saw the hooded vigilante slipping away. “I lost a friend that day, too. And I would gladly have given my life for his,” Oliver told her, but his plea to her humanity fell on deaf ears.

“Don’t worry. Your life is over,” Laurel said signaling the SWAT team she had on standby. ““Your life as a free man.”

Derrick Rose Says He’s ‘More Explosive’ After Chicago Return And Peyton Siva Won’t Argue (VIDEOS)

For the first time since April 28, 2012, Derrick Rose was back in action at the United Center in Chicago. He surprised himself — and perhaps Detroit Pistons rookie Peyton Siva — with his performance.

“I surprised myself some, going to the lane, getting guys on their heels and really playing through contact,” Rose said after the Bulls’ 96-81 preseason win over the Pistons, via the Chicago Tribune. “Even though I’m getting hit, I’m finding ways to get through it.”

The Chicago Bulls have been without Rose since he suffered a torn ACL in his left knee late in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers in the opener of their first round series in the 2012 NBA Playoffs. At long last, he made his long-awaited return in the Bulls’ preseason game against the visiting Pistons on Wednesday night. This was just his third 2013 preseason performance and his first home appearance.

‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ Bids Farewell To Richard Belzer’s Sergeant John Munch (VIDEO)

In a special tribute at the beginning of the hour on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” the cast came together to bid a farewell to Sergeant John Munch. After an incredibly long run, Sgt. Munch was retiring from SVU.

“I don’t know where it all went,” Munch said in front of his assembled friends and colleagues. It was a sweet tribute to a character who’d been a part of the television landscape for more than two decades. That said, other than this opening scene, and a quick scene at the end where he packs up his things and leaves, the bulk of the episode was just another case.

Entertainment Weekly’s Samantha Highfill noted that he only got about 10 minutes to say goodbye. “We’re sorry it seemed so rushed, but you know how it is. Crime doesn’t stop for anybody… even when television shows probably should,” she wrote. There was a nice closing touch, though. A flashback showed Munch sitting at his desk, as he was first seen on “Homicide: Life on the Street.” Then, we shifted to him today in the same position. He even made the mistake of answering the phone by saying, “Homicide,” before correcting himself.

Netflix Introduces UI Tweaks For Android App

Netflix Introduces UI Tweaks For Android AppThe folks over at Netflix has introduced a couple of announcements (which are for the better, obviously), where the first of them would apply mainly to those who run on Android-powered devices. Netflix has already updated their app for Android, bringing along with it a revamped user interface that claims to deliver snappier covers, smoother scrolling as well as a brand new action and navigation bars. Chromecast users might want to sit up and take notice, as the Netflix app has also been changed somewhat in order to have it play nicer with the Chromecast TV dongle. Some of the changes would include improved lock screen playback controls, too. Of course, since you cannot please everyone all the time, the revamped app still does not come with support for the new profiles in addition to broader HD streaming support.

This particular rollout would not be made available across the board instantly, but there is already an APK file hanging around somewhere on the Internet if patience is not your strongest virtue. Apart from that, the other announcement involves the testing of enhanced content or additional features which will be centered around its original shows, and if that pans out well, Netflix might just additional content to their shows ala DVD.
