Note: Sorry, this deal is for United States residents only.
If you missed out on the 2GB flash drive deal a few months back don’t sweat it. Not only is the 2GB drive available for $4.95, but there is also a 4GB drive available for a mere $14.95! And if that’s still too much for your pocketbook pick up the 1GB drive for free. There will be a little bit of tax on each of the drives though, so the 1GB will actually come out to a little under $1. Those prices include free shipping, and there are absolutely no mail-in rebates to struggle with. You won’t even find a deal like this on Black Friday next week.
What’s the catch? You have to purchase these drives using a newly created Google Checkout account. Google Checkout is a completely free service to signup for, and I’ve used it for several of my purchases in the past. It’s hassle-free so it is definitely worth the $10 that you save off of your total purchase.
For those of you wondering these drives are capable of being used with Vista’s new ReadyBoost feature. That would be because it exceeds the minimum requirements with its 6MBps read speed (2.5MB/s required for ReadyBoost) and its 3MBps write speed (1.75MB/s required for ReadyBoost). Of course you can always get around that restriction, but having a drive that meets the requirements will ensure that you get the best performance.
If you want to pick one of these up you better hurry. The 1GB drive is the number one selling item on Buy.com right now, the 2GB is number two, and the 4GB is number three. At prices like these it’s very possible that Buy.com will sell out of them.

Archos rolled out the original Gamepad Android-powered gaming tablet back in December of 2012. The company is back this week with the announcement of the Gamepad 2. The new Archos Gamepad 2 is still designed specifically for gaming on the go, but has received some much-needed upgrades.
Its improved 7-inch IPS touchscreen has a native resolution of 1280 x 800 and the tablet runs Android 4.2. The processor running the show this time is a quad-core A9 unit running at 1.6 GHz paired with a quad-core Mali 400 MP4 GPU. The tablet is available with 8GB or 16GB of storage with both versions offering a MicroSD memory card slot for expansion.
The tablet also features 2GB of on-board RAM, integrated dual-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, and a Mini HDMI output. Of course, the biggest feature for gamers is going to be the controls with six front facing buttons, four shoulder buttons, a directional pad, and a pair of analog control sticks.
Power comes from an internal lithium polymer battery and the device measures 7.9 x 6.0 x 0.39-inches and weighs less than a pound.
The Gamepad 2 will be available in the US at the end of Q4 starting at $199.99 (USD), and will include two free games optimized for play on the system, Asphalt 8 Airborne and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.
If there haven’t already been many hints of the impending launch of the iPhones on China Mobile, here is another one. Apple has a new position open at its Beijing office who has knowledge and experience of working with China Mobile’s homegrown unique network standard. The person hired in this position will be required to “support and drive the carrier approval of mobile phones.” Now the company won’t be doing that if it didn’t have any plans of bringing its smartphones over to the world’s largest mobile carrier, which touts more than 700 million subscribers. Only recently Apple received the network access license required to put its new iPhones on China Mobile’s network, so its probably just a matter of time before an official announcement of the partnership is made.
China Mobile has never offered the iPhone, ever. It has had a number of discussions with Apple and it is believed that a favorable arrangement has now been hashed out. Purported promotional material depicting iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c available on China Mobile has leaked, while only recently we saw a leaked screenshot of an iPhone 5s working on China Mobile’s unique TD-SCDMA and TD-LTE standards which aren’t used by any other carriers. China Mobile said a few months back that it is keen on selling the iPhone, though several technical and commercial issued remains. Hopefully they’ll be cleared up soon so that current and prospective China Mobile customers can finally get their hands on the new iPhones, officially.

How many clicks, how many fingertaps does it take to get your favorite music playing when you come home? Any number greater than one should make you interested in Bose’s new SoundTouch technology, the audio pioneer hopes. Promising “a whole new way of enjoying your music at home,” Bose on Thursday introduced a new, wireless music system that is slated to become a company-wide standard for virtually all of Bose’s hifi and video products.
“It should be effortless to get to your music. It should be as easy as turning on the lights when you walk into a room,” said Bose product line manager Glenn Gomes-Casseres at the unveiling of the SoundTouch system in New York. To reach this goal, the company is combining technologies new and old: any SoundTouch device features six preset buttons that can be programmed through mobile apps or Bose software on PCs and Macs. The music can stream from a computer in the home or from the Internet, such as radio stations or services like Pandora.

Nexus 5 Cases Already Being Teased
Posted in: Today's ChiliThe Nexus 5 is without a doubt one of the most highly anticipated smartphones of this quarter. Google is yet to officially announce the device, though given the fact that Nexus 4 is no longer available through the Play Store, its only a matter of time before the Nexus 5 is made official. Spigen, a mobile accessory manufacturer based out of South Korea, has already started teasing Nexus 5 cases. The teaser image doesn’t exactly reveal much in terms of design, but it does resemble the device we’ve seen in purported leaked pictures of the next generation Nexus smartphone.
Earlier today we picked up on a rumor which claimed that Nexus 5 will be announced next week, on Tuesday October 15th to be precise. Its merely five days away and Google is yet to roll out invites for the event, so at this point in time this date hasn’t been officially confirmed. The Nexus 5 is expected to come with top tier specifications, such as the quadcore Snapdragon 800 processor from Qualcomm and a 5 inch full 1080p HD display. It is also going to be the first smartphone to ship with Android 4.4 KitKat, the next major update to Google’s mobile platform. The 16GB Nexus 5 will reportedly be priced at $299 off contract.
