Infinity Blade 3: Soul Hunter Update Scheduled For 31st October

Chair Entertainment’s Infinity Blade 3 was released back in September, meaning that the game has been around for a little over a month now. While the game’s graphics might not be a huge leap over its predecessor, it does come with a few improvements that feels more like a polish rather than a dramatic upgrade. In any case if you are done with the game or have gotten a bit bored of the grind, Chair has revealed that an update will be headed your way come 31st of October which will introduce a new campaign. The update has been dubbed the Soul Hunter and will introduce a new end boss dubbed Oslim, a Level 100 Deathless Bloodmage who wields dual Infinity Blades and has been sent by the Worker of Secrets to put a cramp in Siris and Isa’s plans.

Apart from the introduction of a new campaign, the update will also introduce new armor sets to the game for both Siris and Isa, additional exploratory quests, holiday helmets starting with the Pumpkin helmet given that its release is on Halloween, along with a bunch of other fixes, balances, and various improvements that will hopefully help enhance the game’s experience. Infinity Blade 3 is expected to be last installment in the Infinity Blade trilogy but hopefully the updates with additional content will keep coming at a steady pace. In the meantime you can check out the video above for a preview of the upcoming update.

Oculus Rift To Make Its Way Onto Android Devices

Oculus Rift To Make Its Way Onto Android DevicesThe Oculus Rift virtual reality headset started off as a Kickstarter project but has since managed to gain a fair amount of momentum on its own, thanks to gamers and developers who have attempted to play a variety of games using the headset. There has been talk about the Oculus Rift eventually making its way onto mobile devices in the future and sure enough this has been confirmed by its CEO, Brendan Iribe, during GamesBeat 2013. The company has announced that they would be bringing the headset onto mobile devices although at this point in time, the headset will only support the Android operating system and not iOS. We’re not sure why iOS has been excluded, but presumably it has to do with the restrictions that Apple places when it comes to third-party software and hardware for its products.

According to Iribe, “We have some exciting plans on the mobile VR side as the PC VR side,” Iribe said. “We’re really looking at hitting the consumer market. We’re very excited about what we’re seeing. Skeptical about how good mobile VR could be on such a small platform. It’s pretty incredible what [John Carmack has] been able to do.” The mobile version of the headset is expected to be a light version that will rely on the phone’s processor, meaning that your mileage might vary depending on your phone and it could very well be that some devices will not be supported. While no specific launch date has been mentioned, the company plans to launch the mobile version of the Oculus Rift around the same time (give or take a few) the PC version of the headset launches.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag PlayStation Exclusives Will Remain Exclusives Indefintely

Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag PlayStation Exclusives Will Remain Exclusives IndefintelyAs gamers are well aware of, certain video game DLCs are exclusive to a particular platform for a while before being made available to other console gamers, such as Skyrim’s DLCs which were exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a while before being released to PlayStation 3 and PC gamers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag where the game’s PlayStation DLCs will remain PlayStation DLCs exclusively indefinitely. This means that gamers looking forward to the extra levels that star Aveline, who made her debut in Assassin’s Creed: Liberation for the PS Vita, will be out of luck.

This was confirmed by Ubisoft to Eurogamer, stating that the PlayStation exclusive DLC is not being planned for the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One for the moment, and that it will be exclusive to PS3 and PS4 gamers. The game was recently released for current-gen consoles and is expected to see a release for the PC, the Wii U, and next-gen consoles n November. Ubisoft has also recently confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for the Wii U will also not be getting access to DLCs as well although it was not stated why. Any PC/Xbox 360/Xbox One gamers bummed out by this piece of news?
