Grand Theft Auto V’s success over the past month has been huge, but according to Guinness, it’s also been groundbreaking.

Guinness on Tuesday announced that Grand Theft Auto V has set six world records since its launch, adding to its previous title of “most viewed trailer.” The game, which launched last month, has become the best-selling action-adventure game of all time, the best-selling video game, and the fastest entertainment property to ever net $1 billion. The game also has reached the heights on revenue generated in a 24-hour period.

Tikker watch tells you how much time left you have on your clock

tikkerNow this is an interesting question to consider – would you prefer to know just how many days you have left to spend on earth, or you prefer to be not in the know, so that you are able to make the most out of each day instead? I would fall under the latter category, but if you are a meticulous planner who also wants to plan for your eventual demise, then you might want to check out this particularly interesting Kickstarter project that is known as the Tikker watch. This Tikker watch is supposed to be the first self-contained atomic clock watch in the world.

The Tikker watch does not have any kind of fancy designs in the first place, but before you are able to wear it, you will need to answer a simple questionnaire, before subtracting your current age from the results. After doing so, you will have to set the clock to count down the rest of your life. Apart from that, it will also be able to keep track of local time, although it goes without saying that the death countdown would be the “main attraction” here. Right now, the Tikker watch is going for a $39 pledge, where it will arrive in a shade of black that is also what the grim reaper wears. If you prefer a custom color, then be prepared to pony up a $1,000 pledge.

Serenity Made from a CD-Rom Drive: Shiny!

You can’t take the sky from me. But if you have a spare CD-Rom drive you can try to make a miniature Serenity ship like this one from Daniel Shankalonian, but it wouldn’t turn out nearly as good I’m sure.

He built this little ship using parts from a CD-ROM Drive and bits of an old Dell computer. I love all of the little details. These are handmade, so they take about a week to complete and the design might vary slightly based on the parts available, but I really like what I see here.

Daniel has many other cool recycled items in his shop, including that cool Batman Tumbler made from old PlayStation 2s.

iPhone 5s And 5c Make Their Way To 35 New Markets Oct. 25, 17 More On Nov. 1

iphone5s-iphone5c

Apple has just announced the next round of launch dates for the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s, and a total of 52 new markets will get the devices by November 1, with a batch of 17 getting the smartphones by November 1. The first round includes Italy, Russia, Spain and South Korea, while the second group includes India, Mexico and Turkey.

Typically, Apple’s second big launch after their initial one is when the device becomes available in China, but this year China got the new iPhones at the same time as the U.S., the UK and Canada, marking a first for an Apple launch. That means these additional countries should prove the key ones to watch in terms of judging additional spikes from international sales, but we’ll likely see less of a bump than we have previously with China debuts. Apple has yet to launch the iPhone with China Mobile, however, and that could prove another high point for sales, should it arrive in 2014 as predicted by some analysts.

A full list of new countries and markets getting the iPhone follows, arranged by date:

Oct. 25: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, French West Indies, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Nov. 1: Albania, Armenia, Bahrain, Colombia, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, India, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and UAE.
